    Bay lighting?

I sent CB80 an email and he responded. All is well, just extremely busy with new business ventures! I was glad to hear he is ok....

Since you are running 2 heaters, you'll get more flow and pressure with the 2400-45-3P than I'm getting with my (2) 013's....Did you check amperage on the 2400 series pump? Its 3.6a at 115v. Make sure your relays and aquastats handle the extra load. The 013's are only 2.0a. You'd think almost...

You are taxing my 'ol brain! LOL....On my Takagi, I know I get 40psi at the inlet using (2) 013's in series. I have a pressure guage attached to check it. Maybe its a bonus running them in series? When setting the output temp to 105°, the heater regulates flow based on inlet pressure and...

Watch this video, maybe it will help you understand GPM and head pressure when it comes to reading these charts. (1690) How to Read Pump Chart and Select Pump - YouTube

Are you sure you calculated correctly? Check the graphs on the attached links. If I am looking at it right, the 2400-45-3P puts out about 39ft of head pressure at 5-6 gpm. Converted to psi, thats 17psi....Not near enough pressure for your demand heaters running only one pump...The larger pump...

Just checked and he hasn't posted anything on the forum since June...I'll try checking on him.....

BTW, when I installed my system, (2) 013 Tacos supplying pressure to my demand heaters was the cheapest route. I think they were less than $300 each. There might be a single pump design now that will give you the pressure you are looking for and save money? The research can take longer than...

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

Yea, thats the million dollar question...There are mathmatical formulas that you can use, but you are right, it can get complicated. You can start by checking flow rates of the pumps and calculate capacity and head pressure of each zone. I remember you want about 2-3 ft per minute flow rate...

Heres a pic of my floor heat control panel. Basically I have 3 systems running off output 2 of the weepmiser. The floor heat system, the trough heat tape, and the LP hose blowdown/washerfluid injection system. The weepmiser output only see's about 10 watts. The bottom relay actually powers all...

Are you playin' with me?! "If the temperature is 1° below the LL setting it will remain on until the temperature rises to 1° above the LL setting" Edited to take out the HL stuff....CBChevy said it...If setpoint is 33°, It comes on at 32° and turns back off at 1° above LL which is...

I have my secondary output coming on at 32°... I copied this from the manual: OUTPUT 2 OPERATION Output 2 is designed to be an on-off switch. This output is programmed using the LL and HL settings in the programming section. If the temperature is between the LL and HL settings, the output will...

Question, Why the outdoor stat? I only run off the return aquastat....I use the secondary output off the weepmiser for outdoor temp that energizes the single relay for the floor heat system. I have never had any issues doing it this way.

Yes, the contacts in the Aquastat have a 20a rating! The Taco 013 pumps are only 2a each, total 4a load on the aquastat.....

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

Yes, only 1 relay. The relay turns on the main bay loop circulator at 32° and also powers the heater pumps....BUT, those pumps are triggered on/off by the return glycol temperature aquastat....The aquastat is wired between the relay and the heater pumps. Once temp rises above 32°, the whole...

    Bay lighting?

Why do it the easiest way?! ;) FWIW...I don't care for proprietary lighting in the bays. They are usually expensive and when they go south, they go in the garbage can. No fixing or repairing or changing bulbs....I installed (3) bulb IP65 rated fixtures that use standsard 48" Led tube lights...

Another tankless water heater replacing boiler thread

Why....When it gets cold out, temp is coming down and usually goes past setpoint....Slabs already warmer from the higher temps of the day. I control my floor heat pumps from output 2...Never have seen it short cycle...I have output 2 set at 32°....Using a different controller and The larger...

If you run the buffer tank and its vented AND if you run a trough loop. The tank will over flow....And yes, it will allow oxygen into the system. I run mine closed loop...Never had a problem, knock on wood! I don't think the size main loops circulator would make a differnece either way. If you...

I don't know that you would need 4 pumps (2each in series). 90% of the time, only one heater will run. Even if both heaters run, you'd only be looking at about 12-13 gpm...(2) 013 Tacos in series will deliver 30gpm at 40psi....I get about 6.0gpm with one heater at 40 psi...It flucuates a few...
