Here’s my version…
I have $10 pre-authorization charge with the CC’s, and a $15 max on the bays and $25 on the dog washes. Count up.
the CC’s have been a game changer for me, and it only took me 24 yearsto incorporate them…! Oy.
fyi…. I bought the Klopp token cleaner and here is a picture of the results after running the machine for 12 + hours…
there were a couple dozen tokens still dirty and I thru them back for another run….

when schmoozing with customers, and I ask how they heard or found us, 80% would say from online...
We made this conversion/upgrade to tokens close to 2 years ago… we do accept customers quarters and dollar coins…. CC acceptance have positively changed the biz…

Have you seen the Toyota commercial in a SS car wash…? great for awareness and subliminal selling, cause it’s time to go wash your car….!
Also the Liberty Mutual insurance ad with the tunnel car wash and the Emu… hope they are playing in your local markets!
About 2 years ago we bought the 3 column vend machine from Laurel… we sell black Jack, biggest seller and the Armoral Protectant and Cleaner…
we sell those items at $2 each.
very little pushback on the price increase from $1 to $2…
our bill changers only dispense our tokens, so the remaining...
I sometimes think my wash runs better when I am out of town…!
I can’t imagine shutting down the biz unless forced to … (I did however turn off the breakers to the bays in December for 4 days when we had freezing temps…)
Couldn’t you have your “associates/workers “ just put a cone in the bay...
The lease terms will be the most important in allowing you to have something to sell… as the landlord controls the deal.
can you elaborate on the lease terms, tenure and the landlords agenda…?
Also, what are you netting on $220k minus $30k in rent in CA….?
