Way to go ... Kimberly & also credit to Dixmor for some helpful guidance!
Randy ... We did something similar for testing our coin boxes. It really helps to be able to bench test as much as possible ... especially for some facilities that possibly have a greater variety of sections of equipment...
The ideal system would be maybe a NVR RAID system with all POE cams. That would be the closest to zero downtime for recording permanently mounted cameras IMHO.
This brand has proven to work for us:

Not sure if all brands work.
I am using 128Gb SD with V3. The SD card shows as a drive on computer ... then use the computer's built in windows explorer. 1 minute increments but within each minute it has continuous as long as you have the settings on the Wyze phone app set to continuous. I also record audio which comes...
That is why "We the People" have to be vigilant when it comes even the lesser political appointments-elected such as city attorneys & municipal judges etc.! Not to mention ... paying attention to ... even the proven flawed "election process" in some areas of the USA.
SD cards for the Wyze 3.0 are worth it for more "fail safe" continuous every frame recording. The downside is the labor of setting up a ladder often needed to swap & then put the SD in a reader on a computer! Having had to deal with camera light issues since 1982 ... I marvel at how good the W...
This is an over 4 year old thread but it could still be relevant for some. Randy privately wrote to me that the LED TV upgrade for remotes seemed to be a factor as to whether a remote will work with the Remote. WE have 2 Family Dollar stores local ... but 4 years later there is a good chance...
We recently had an insurance company person call us wondering if our cameras reached the street intersection on our corner lot. They wanted to see if there was right of way violation or speeding by one of the two specific vehicles.
I provided it for them without mentioning a "upfront charge"...
So these the below linked fittings that tend to be proven to be more durable than the John Guest?

Randy & others,
Is this the one: https://www.freelin-wade.com/nylon-plastic-tubing/dot223
At one time I somewhat on a very small scale used compression fittings for the 1/4" OD plastic tubing at one time but I never did a comparison of reliability. I know the John Guest connectors are...
Most of the time a gradually wearing from friction the tubing itself. Sometimes it breaks off right at the fitting connection ... which does not mean the fitting was at fault. I would think that just because the tubing touches other tubing it would not wear through ... but then eventually I...
What Car Wash distributors sells the nylon? We might consider that during our ... ugh... possible redo.
I tried turning down the pressure to <75 PSI anywhere ... that leads in & out of our 6 bays ... maybe that will buy us time if nothing else. Quality manpower tends to be more costly than...
It has been almost 36 years since we added presoak, tire/motor, spot free etc & started using some 1/4" plastic or nylon tubing. We also use the same tubing to lock & unlock our overhead doors. We notice that we are getting more frequent leaks lately.... do any of you think it would be a good...
As a private citizen it seems like the option of 4K could be of value ... for example if the private citizen wanted the body cam to be used occasionally as a dash cam where distance (pixel clarity) could come into consideration. Initial cost for the extra resolution option could be a factor...
4K recording would be nice but that would probably require a body cam rather than just a pen. Having quick replacement SD cards on standby would be a must since it's SD card memory usage could be used up pretty fast.
No question about it ... some localities tend to be more volatile & crazy at the prosecution level. During our 9mm practice & taser demonstration ... a retired CPA (who tended to be at my side during most of the sessions) whose brother was former local sheriff gun expert now legislator... told...
I was hoping to get some responses on this thread that I started before it gets lost from current new posts view.
I just want to add that during the oil boom here in Western ND there were some really slick thug-like big city characters staying at an emergency all male shelter <2 blocks away...
I very recently was part of an intensive 13 week 3+ hours sessions that our city put on to make it so interested citizens can be more informed. One of the sessions was with our local police department. The Officers who I mingled with all seem to be in favor of them finally getting body cams...
2Biz & others,
We just picked up 2 pallets of the Clean & Protect. Since we just did some serious brine tank clean up & parts replacements on our 15+ year old Fleck's ... we will be on the alert for a possible batch problem with our two pallets.
