Hi, All,
My 18" hub cap/rocker washers are looking a little tired. Before I go OEM, does anyone have any recommendations on aftermarket subs that will perform?
Thanks.

I've had this problem, also. Heat and PB Blaster seems to do the trick near term. Replace them as soon as you get them out. Seems to be yet another example of lower raw material standards and less durability.
Is this specific to a model or trim level? It sounds like it's programmed to lock whenever the shifter is moved out of park as an owner preference. Does the attendant have the door open while loading so they're not aware that it locks? It might be less of a hassle turn the engine off until it...
We, too, were just discussing the other day the merits of machine washing after a hydraulic leak. Upon closer inspection, the cloth is starting to feel soft and slimy, but doesn't look dirty.
At what point is it time to replace mitter cloth? I know count is relevant, but condition can be a...
As one who started solo, the team approach is far less taxing once training and qc issues are addressed. However, the potential for increased production has never really come to fruition. Two cars in a day for 2-3 techs was about all we could comfortably manage without cutting corners. There's a...
CC fees should be considered a cost of doing business. I avoid a local gas station since they started tacking on $.04-.06/gal. for the privilege of using a cc which I find important for keeping track of deductible expenses.
Regardless of volume, I would recommend internet processors such as...
I have changed my bay 120v metal halide wallpaks to CFL's based on the conversion lamps sold by KleenRite. Broke two or three in the process; at $30 a bulb, it's going to delay payback, but I feel better when they burn on rainy or snowy nights. I also had 400w MH on 16' poles on the vac islands...
I would think they would ask/benefit more from a hot water wash. We do temper our rinse water when the ambient temp goes below 20. I personally get frustrated when the rinse ad soap are freezing on the surface. Also curious whose soap is providing good cold water bite?

Ric, It seems that a small "ramp" could sandwich a surface pipe and act as a speed bump as well. Most people fly over the underflush and get minimal benefit from it.
We put the Airlift XRS in before last winter and couldn't be happier with it. Considered the Wyndstar also, but chose Airlift for three reasons: Voltage, Airlift had a 120V option; their speed slightly faster with at 120V; emergency release mechanism from outside was smoother. No chain involved...
Is this the first pumping or the first incidence of odor? I assume a local septic pumper did the work and backflushed the tanks several times. I would add a gallon of bleach to each tank after pumping to sanitize. If you have media tanks, and ozonation isn't readily feasible, you might try...
Here's one for the knowledge base:
The 2" back wash valve on my year old reclaim unit failed last week, so all of the water was being recirculated and none going to the wash tank. Thank God for rainy days!
The problem was obvious as it happens whenever air is interrupted going to the valve...
I'm not familiar with them either. Can they be retrofitted into a Hamilton DRS? Does inexpensive translate into problematic or a good value? What's the maintenance protocol? Am I being overly cheap or is $150-$200 per unit for a tune-up every 12 - 18 mos. excessive?
Alternatives?
Thanks

Two bucks is awfully low given the fees associated with cards. Is this for the minimum self-serve time or token sale or how is used? What is the average amount spent per card transaction? We don't offer cc use in bays, but if a customers asks to swipe a card for cash to use in the bays, it's a...
We switched to Vaughan Industries' rollers over two years ago. Quieter and less weight than steel. Less chain wear? It has still needed adjustment but it was five years old at the time so the wear had begun. SC 78 is a good chain, full 1/4" thick. Pain to adjust, but not the end of the world.
