Customers indeed notice hot water. That is why all my competitors have low volumes, and I have very high volumes--they have all discontinued hot water . It is not that big of an expense, but it is big in keeping and growing sales.
Operators that keep cheaping out on a properly run self serve...
Here is the bigger issue--all these evs are not paying gas tax. Roads and bridges are literally falling apart in every state, but these owners get a free pass. I would guess we are 20-30 years behind in building needed roads, and now we are going to collect less road funds via gas taxes.

I am in lower, slower Delaware. We raised our prices 15% in March. So actual sales are up, but car counts are down a bit. Making same $$$, with less wear & tear.
It was vilco. I sent only one to them. The orings would not stay in place. Never could get it to work right. Have stayed with Kleen-Rite ever since with no issues.
I use the thermal relief valves. Mostly because I have some CAT 623 pumps. When someone leaves that running without the trigger pulled, it heats up really quick. Within 60 seconds or so, it typically starts blowing out to bring in lower temp water. Both hot & cold are gravity fed.
It was 3 miles. No effect on sales. We were already running high single to double digit increases. I actually sold the location last October while things were still on a roll.
All my locations are drilled with the plastic rivits. The holes are 1/16" larger than the rivet, to allow for movement with the varying temperatures and moisture. I would think if you glued them, they may buckle with the extreme temp swings.
Oldest location is 22 years, and I have never had to...
Can not help your issue, but my town just instituted yearly inspection of these. $400 per wash. Just another nice expense for us rich business owners! :mad:
Same with what Randy said. If it is cheaper; there is usually a reason. I only tried 4 of them, thank goodness. Just ordered the buy 12, get one free Erie brushes from KR.
