The program does not care if the wheel scrub extends, it just has to see the prox again before it will drive (the wash should NEVER drive with the prox off since this would indicate the wheelscrub was extended). You might get a "no transition" code but it will not shut down the wash.
I would not replace an ultrasonic until you can prove that it has failed. On intermittent problems, we normally start by replacing the cheapest parts first. Is there anyway to monitor the output of the ultrasonic? I have seen the ultrasonics on a Ryko last for over 10 years, but we are able to...
You are looking at the exit door photo eyes. Check both the "entrance end tire locator" photo eye and the "exit end tire locator" photo eyes. Make sure the pressure pads are in the exact location of where the original bay switch and back up hose were. The machine must also stop in the exact...
I would still check the top brush weight. Since you have changed brushes to another brand (including changing the gearboxes and shafts) you should check the top brush weight. The top brush interrupt will not work properly if everything is not set up properly. The top brush interrupt keeps the...
The Ryko has fixed nozzles and should be the same as any other Softgloss without reclaim. The only way to put more water on is to slow the rinse pass down. The Softgloss has been engineered to only use as much water as needed to rinse an average car so this should not be an issue. I agree that...
A softgloss shaft kit includes: shaft, keystock and snap ring (the clutch is sold separately) it retails for $243.32. The original Voyager 2's came with the old style polypropylene brushes, the retro to install foambrite does not use a clutch. Its just a short shaft that connects to the brush...
Just spoke with an engineer at Thomas's Michigan distributor (Combined Fluids) and he tells me its either a 1207PK80 (one head) or a 2685PE40 (two head). The heads are square and the motors are round so it should not be hard to figure out which is which. The model number should be on a sticker...
Earl,
Have you tried rebuilding the thomas compressors? I have a customer looking for a rebuild kit. I am still searching the internet and thought I would try here too. It is in an "industrial vac" which I thought was still being made up the street at Gin San but they dont come up in a google...
You cannot use the WEI (Wash Equipment Interface) with a non Ryko coinbox. If your wash is new enough, you can wire from the coinbox directly to the PLC (granted your coinbox is giving a usable arming signal, you may need to add relays or even timers), otherwise you will need a "wash combination...
It sound like a chemical problem, if the water is not beading, the wash will have a very hard time blowing off the water no matter how the dryer is set up. Set the oscillators so the go the full range of movement AND so the never stop moving; this will insure the best dry possible.
The entrance door opens on a Ryko as soon as the first car has completed the wash. The coinbox will hold the code in escrow so the customer can enter his code or money while the 1st customer is in the wash. Most people will wait until the car in front of them is at least half way through the...
The softgloss is based on the Voyager 2 which has been in operation for over 17 years. The first one I put in was back in 1995 and its still running today.
This is why I prefer the Ryko description of soap or wax, this leaves no doubt about what the product actually is. The more I hear about Polishes and conditioner the less any of it makes sense..........
Tunnels are simple: Tri foam soap at the beginning and trifoam wax just before the final...
With the Ryko brush machine you need to know if its a detergent or a wax since tri-foam Detergent is applied at the beginning of the wash and tri foam wax pass is almost at the end of the wash. I dont think its a good idea to apply wax as a first pass (before soap or even water) and this has...
