I have stretched many solenoid springs to make them work. I prefer to replace a solenoid when this happens but stretching can work in a pinch. Normally they stick open when the spring is weak.
I use a pump shop to rebuild the $7,000.00 general pumps on the PDQ's; I also use them to rebuild the wanner hydra cell pumps. Look on the internet and you should find a few. They has been around at least 30 years and its all the do. My friend gets business from then all the time (he grinds the...
It could be an overload. Ryko uses both the NO and NC sides of the overload relay. The NO side closes when tripped and send a signal to the PLC telling it the overload has tripped. The NC side opens when tripped and opens the common (wire 25) to its contactor and keeps it from pulling in. I have...
The Mac valve is for the air and would have nothing to do with the brush spinning. It could be the contactor coil is bad and not pulling in the contactor. There is also a hysteresis overload that will trip and then reset itself during a wash. I would make sure it is adjusted properly. The are...
It all depends on what type of wash you have and the grade of aluminum. Ryko uses aluminum for their brush machines and stainless for their touch less washes. I have seen Ryko brush machines go 30 years and they still running without any corrosion at all!!!! Ryko does use air craft quality...
Ryko uses a "comsyst" to verbally tell the customers what to do at the coinbox. Ryko also has a "custom message display" sign that can be programmed to display many different messages that are triggered by multiple inputs (I have thought about installing an old one on the back of my bus for...
Check with Ryko, they have a large factory direct service department in Illinois. I have installed over 30 Ryko conveyors and most are ran unattended at gas station locations!
I looked at the video again and its hard to tell but it looks like cloth. The miter curtain is cloth for sure. I cant tell if the slapping sound of the brush is just the miter or some of its from the brushes themselves.
Ryko invented the foam rollover brush and has always used the same supplier in Italy. It is a closed cell polymer that will not allow dirt or water to be trapped in the brush. Not sure what the others are using but if it is a foam product, I have found others to be less dense and thus has less...
I like the washworlds touch less wash but I have never liked hydraulic rollovers or even hydraulic tunnels for that matter (except for the conveyor chain drive). Impressions from the video are that its not very impressive and is a little slow. I am not a fan of cable tracks either (at least its...
I never recommend cloth to anyone, it hold dirt and then scratches the paint. As far as miter curtains go, they are hit and miss and really should only be used in tunnels where another piece of equipment (a top brush or multiple side to side or front to rear miter curtains) can actually clean...
Actually one brand or the other can make a difference. I have seen Ryko's wash over a million cars!!!!! That means it went up and down the track at least 5 Million times! Most important is the equipment, a proper installation and your maintenance plan.
I would stick withe the same size and number of nozzles that the side blaster had. Hopefully you will have enough pressure to get it spinning the way it should. The side blaster pump is high volume/low pressure and most, if not all spinners, run off high pressure.
