John,
I have a customer who wants a boiler removed to increase storage in his back room. It works fine (I recently had it inspected for him) and has a large water heater tank with it. Evidently at one time they used it to heat water going to the tunnel but there is no need for hot water in the...
2 digit display is for onsite attendant fast evaluations and not necessarily repairs. Use the four digit codes for more in depth diagnosis. You can use your hand held, in bay touch screen or even network CAW4 (you can print them from inside the store). Four digit codes can tell you at what point...
Use a "clamp on" amp meter to test each leg of each motor and see if its drawing too much current. If its in the normal range, you may have an overload going bad. If the current level is high on one or both motors, look at the wire connections at the problem motor. Most likely its the motor...
We know its making it to the PLC at least 15 times in a row because the first time it didnt, the wash would shut down. If you monitored the PLC inputs and it did malfunction, you would know what side was causing the problem. Just guessing and throwing parts at a problem can cause more problems...
Just because you installed new proximity switches does not mean the signal is getting to the PLC. If it pops up every 15 cars then you may have to watch 15 cars go through (better than if it did it every 100 cars). The PLC is not seeing one or both of the prox switches to make this code appear...
I agree with mac, the only other thing I would add is to support it with a chain to keep it from falling over if it seems unbalanced or top heavy. Instead of "come a longs" (use them to keep it from falling over) I use a 6' pry bar that will move anything. I wouldn't waste the time with dolly's...
If it only happens when the drive over the bay plate and get the back up light, I would make sure the wash stops all the way to the front of the wash (within one inch but not touching the bumper). You once told me you installed a tape switch in place of the air hose and this may be the problem...
First of all cloth is basically obsolete, why would you use material that will scratch paint when its new (I have used new cloth like scotchbrite to prep sand for a paint job)? I see no difference between needing an attendant for touchless or brush (we have plenty of unattended tunnels even).
Not sure what you are trying to say but EVERY side by side machine I have seen or heard of the brush machine will wash twice as many cars. Look into it if you dont believe it.....
I have access to hundreds of machines and this is what we have found. For the most part a properly run brush machine...
The ultrasonics determine whether its a "tall vehicle" and if it should do a rear arm oscillation but it should not keep the arms from completely missing the back of the vehicle.
