The problem has been created by the banks and CC companies. Their credit card system with mag strips is outdated and flawed and we pay for it. Up here in Canada we don't experience this as much because we all now use chips and 4 digit codes that need to be entered at the terminals (including...
It would have...never thought of it :( That was almost a year ago so the video is long gone. I never saved it for the police as they didn't visit, only called him. When he called, I gave him a complete and accurate description of his visit, he didn't ask to look at it and confessed over the...
Yeah...that was the other part of my post about the whole service surge suppressor. You can now hang one off your 3 phase service for as little as $2k. About 15 years ago I had some installed at a large computer room at work...cost was almost $50k!
MJ,
Hindsight is 50/50, but this is what I would have done;
I would have parked in front of their vehicle and not let them leave the site until both the police and a high ranking company official is present. I would have also called the ministry of the environment and told the police that...
Washme,
This happened to my competitor and caused a fire and he was out of business for 3 months. Had to basically rebuild his whole wash. The power company paid for it all including loss of revenue.
So was it a power surge or a loss of two phases? BTW, why didn't your motor starter not...
Flea & Tick is too expensive...so when you look at the cost to dispense it, you'll quickly find out that it may exceed what your charging per minute. Plus the shampoo needs to sit on the dog for a while to be effective. Nobody will do this when the clock is ticking.
Deskunk is good, but don't...
BTW, why are some not willing to have computers in their washes!? I find that very odd in this day and age. I currently have 6 computers at my wash. They are used for many purposes. Camera monitoring, credit card processing, manual credit card processing, PLC programming, daily checks...
Every piece of gear I have counts pulses (quarters)...some in multiple ways. When I collect the cash, I can then reconcile with the counts. If say your vacs don't, you can buy non-re-settable counters from most vendors (like like this one from Kleenrite...
$5 to start 70 cents/min, CC sales are about 20%, Avg Cash sale is $8, Avg CC Sale is $12
Setup has not changed.
-Pet Vac is a must and easy $, plus helps with cleanup
-Flea & Tick shampoo is not profitable and of dubious effectiveness
-I don't have a disinfectant option...we disinfect the...
So maybe I'm one of the few that would enjoy Chicago...just not in March! I agree that the show is no big deal and to me just a 2hr visit and then a boondoggle the rest of the time.
That is the way it should go with those selections. However, I would tell the owner not to give access to wash programming to their children...totally bizarre wash!
Aca,
If you have not received the resounding yes or no to your question, is that it depends. Some have had great success and others haven't. So like anything else, the variables that go with any other business venture will make or break it. So if you were to put some time and effort into...
Posted this earlier but didn't see it show up on the board...
Well it took a while, but they are here and members of most NA acosiations.
