    Issues with cryptopay tap plus

I just had this issue today. One tap plus would no longer read cards. I also noticed 2 green lights along the top of the unit on the face. The bezel was cycling lights normally. Anyway I power cycled it and it started working again. Really hoping it doesn’t freeze up again but I’ll be looking...

    CAT Pump Valves

I had a bay cat310 start pulsating this weekend and also low pressure. (<800psi) I took the valve plugs out and one of the holes was leaking a little water. (I’m gravity feed to the pump) Pulled that valve and a small piece of plastic was stuck in the valve. Removed it and back in business! For...

R.o. system for 2 bay wash

I refurbished an old RO system from 1994 with new membrane, pre-filter, and refilled the existing carbon bed. I put out 4ppm water to a 300Gal storage tank. (starting with 120ppm) More than enough for my 6 bay SS and only cost $200 or so for the Amazon membrane (4x40 inch). Here are a couple...

    Dollar coin experiment

I have coin Mech mechanical coin acceptors so for $35 per vac I switched the guts to take tokens only and adjusted the timer to read 2 coins to start. Worked great. I have gotten one rogue token so far because the mechanical ones only read size and not material.

    Dollar coin experiment

I’m with you here and this was the main reason to go to tokens. I don’t want to see another quarter. Although people still throw quarters in there so fast it jams the acceptor and somehow they overflow into the vault. I’ve unfortunately “stolen” $80 in quarters that way but I added extra signs...

    Dollar coin experiment

Timely thread since I just changed to $1 Tokens and aside from a tense transition period (see other recent thread on this forum) it has been a really good business for me so far. If you were to go to tokens and they walk out, you make 50-75 cents on each one so you would have profited $4-6k on...

Why do people hate Tokens SO MUCH?!

I have Slugbuster 2 single coin, so I couldn’t take both quarters and tokens unless I upgraded all 6 bays. And my vacs are mechanical so I’d need to add a transformer and timer to them too. Not to mention a quarter sorting machine to separate tokens from quarters. I did put credit card readers...

Why do people hate Tokens SO MUCH?!

I recently switched from quarter changers to $1 High Security Tokens due to abuse of our change machines. 6 bay SS. I put up clear signs (that no-one reads) and after a few weeks all of the regular abusers left with their $20-$40 of tokens for the last time. Some actually washed their car. But...

    Cat310 Pump Pressure Adjustment

1200psi on a Cat 310 with a 2506 tip. Works much better than the 3205 that was on there before.

    Google reviews

Great thread here! I just refurbished an old and poorly maintained site and need some reviews to get the site going. Help a brother out by looking here https://maps.app.goo.gl/FJzBN53SDyV54E4r7?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy and leaving a review if you like what you see!

    Changing decals

I just did this. I used a razor blade scraper like ones used to remove inspection stickers, then cleaned any glue off with brake clean. Left a perfect and oil free surface for the new decals that I got from a local vendor.

Environmental Inspection Scam - GRS Group

Not totally related but I ran into a similar situation selling a house. Got a termite inspection and they found nothing. But they did find termites in the dirt by the road 100yrds away (where they live) so they demanded a trench and rod procedure around the house for $15k. I told them in no...

    Switching to count up.

update on this. I tried the above programming and while it did work, it caused the Dixmor timer to count up in milliseconds or something which looked like you were spending a fortune. So I backed it off to $0.25 for 21 seconds which gave the desired results.

    Switching to count up.

I spent too much time thinking about this as I am going to $1 Tokens = $3 to start for 84 seconds per token (4 minutes, 12 seconds for $3). On my Dixmor timer I set (1) coin value at $1, (2) 84 seconds per pulse and (3) 3 coins to start. Then to prevent cryptopay from only pulsing every minute...

    HOT WATER

I am playing with a similar idea as I just installed one of these into my presoak tank. https://a.co/d/80NxLJe I have a warm water circulation and a thermostat that kicks on a pump when the temperature gets cold enough. So far it’s working ok. you could also put one of those into your fresh...

    Cryptopay one-time use cards

Thanks for the reply. I have a $15 maximum on the cards, does the free wash run it all the way to $15 and stop?

    Cryptopay one-time use cards

Has anyone used these cards with a swiper? How do they work and are they a good marketing tool?

Has anyone used these Boartex brush heads?

I have one next to 2 hogs hair all replaced at the same time. They are only 3 months old but the Boartex seems a little more durable. The bristles shiny like soft nylon but function on the car seems the same.

Car Wash Stands who is the best?

After seeing those pictures I want to buy whatever you are replacing. I just got a 1994 vintage car wash back up and running and it was as simple as rebuilding all the pumps (cat310), replacing many hoses, and replacing the old well pumps in the low pressure systems with flojets and cleaned a...
