    Bay lights photocell location

I would cover it a little more. If you have it sense the light in the Bay, it would more than likely trigger on/off every 3-5 minutes as it's picking up the light it's creating.

    Wash Talk system?

Randy, I do believe so! The current owners days it use to be okay of "a chain" but he wasn't sure of the name. That's actually a smart idea on their part. I wonder if one could be repurposed to locally track usage of that's the case?

Thanks, didn't notice the manual until I was back in the office and looked at the picture. I'll have to check that out!

    Wash Talk system?

Inspected another wash today, asked current owner what this is/does and they had no clue. Literally said, I'm not sure but it's on and doing something... Can't seem to find any info from Google. Anybody have any info on this "system"?

    Car wash times

Although... You could find an operator closer to you, and for a small fee they'll cut that time in less than half! 😁

Looking to buy my first wash

Good call, maybe they'll come to their senses, but since people are okay with "getting by". Call the bank and ask who they use for foreclosures, you'll have a head start. 😆

Looking to buy my first wash

I am all for a fixer upper, you make money when you buy and sweat equity is a beautiful thing! HOWEVER I would pass on this property. given their asking price, lack of books, and repairs needed. By the time you get the place back into "proper" condition, I'd believe you'd be back up into the...

If the new universal one you got fits otherwise, and has the spot for them, why not drill and tap the gauge holes?

    Voltage Spike Snub Experience?

It appears their just using double zener diodes to clip voltage spikes and dips. It would be beneficial for leveling out any inrush current with solenoids. It would dissipate any "extra" voltage as well. It's a fairly low tech, low cost way to regulate voltage near nominal.

Self Serve - Breaker in control box getting stuck

I would never advise anyone to work on electricity while it's active, however if it were me, I'd check to see if the contactor has 24vac on the coil side while it's running, when is not supposed to. You'll rule out any sort of other issues (timer-panel) ETC, is there is no voltage there while...

    Motor Starter Contacts....better check!

Won't hurt to double check them every once in a while now though. Glad you didn't get nailed by finding it with your fingers. It's always better letting the smoke out of devices, rather than humans. (y)

    Motor Starter Contacts....better check!

If you have a thermal camera for checking your floor heat, It might wise to run that over ALL of your electrical connection points over time. It can save you quite a bit of headache and money in the long run. We used to have this performed annually to all cabinets and disconnects at the...

    Toyota Patent request.

I did... I was actually having that discussion the other day with the wife. There's not a whole lot stopping Uber and the like from purchasing fleets of autonomous cars in the future. Millennials and after don't have much interest in "owning things" it appears. It could DEFINITELY effect the...
