Middle of the Ram truck shows that your side wrap around brushes are not meeting/overlapping on the rear of the vehicle, as there is a large stripe of dirt that has not been touched at all. Is this tunnel or friction IBA wash? What equipment is being used? White spots look to be a water...
Well, that it not the norm, but very good for you if that is what you have to compete with. There is definitely a disparity among the tunnels, just as there is among touch free IBA’s self serves, etc. The trick is to be better than whatever you personally are competing with.
I have not seen them being taken out near me, but I don’t doubt they can be and are if the product doesn’t warrant the need for it.
I agree - they have evolved so they are basically what I would consider hand wash quality, but with the online protectant and finishing chemistry to really...
You’ve got two great suggestions. I would just add that you want to make sure whatever you use has the proper lubricity for the brush end of the product.
I don’t think I see this mentioned a lot on this forum, but I really think sfr is extremely important for tunnels and IBA’s. I know a lot of ss operators use it because they may not have dryers and want the ability to leave a spotless finish. I also think it’s big advantage for tunnel and IBA...
There is a chain called Valet Auto Wash that has indoor vacs. They are an express exterior. No extra security needed - they are open set hours every day, have attendants and close at night, so keeping loiterers etc. out is not an issue. I’d never want something like that open 24/7.
They...
I’ve had some separation issues with tropical bay line and I also have not seen great cleaning power with the presoak. The smells are nice, I just have not had the performance I’d like to see.
I clean my house siding (white vinyl) once a year with this spray on, rinse off hose-end product. Every time I use it, I notice where it runs down my asphalt roof from application run off, I get “clean streaks” on the roof. I’m sure too could put this directly on the roof and get an even...
I am a fan of many Simoniz products with the exception of their self serve ultra concentrates. I think the same holds true for the actual KR line - it’s best to avoid the ultra concentrates. Keep in mind, if you want a self serve presoak that actually has some bite to it, you will want to...
Depending on your clientele, it may help anywhere from not at all to some. Those who abuse trash receptacles already will continue yo do so by leaving more of it around. Those who are respectful will continue to be.
Try YouTube for the videos. Most of the pictures that are available are probably also online. Just do an image search and a video search in the search engine if your choice.
This isn’t a technology upgrade, but I think more self serve washes will be offering all of the same chemicals that are offered in IBA - the waxes, ceramics, graphene etc. Back when I started in the business in the dark ages, there were the chemicals we used in the ss and the chemicals we...
