Agree with you ShinePro, but what do you do for a basic wash or mid level wash that doesn’t have your graphene in the package? Do you use a drying agent for those washes or a much more diluted graphene application?
Spot free rain bar after your DA of choice followed immediately by a 15 Hp flash dry positioned directly above and centered will strip massive amounts of water off the top portion of the car quickly. Then let the rest of your blower array finish off what is left. Mammoth blowers are great...
You are in a great place to wash cars and it will pay off. You had the Buckmans chain for so many years, Delta Sonic, Classy Chassy and now how many Go locations - 12+ or so? Not mention a lot of smaller operators. There is a lot of car cleaning to do in Rochester. You will do well!
I know you are in Rochester - I’m in Buffalo. The southern part of our county just got anywhere from 1-3 feet. The fun begins. You’re also on a different lake. Lake Ontario causes Rochester more nuisance snow - a few inches here and there - that frequent reoccurrence is good for...
If you are the sole employee, I would think you would have a regular rotation of wash visits that you schedule. This would allow you to do routine cleaning maintenance and collections with adequate frequency. If you have labor or workers at each of the locations, I would have them on a...
Are you talking about multiple ss/IBA sites? How many sites and how many employees?
In the tunnel world, multiple locations would have a site manager/location manager for each wash that would be the first on call for all employee and customer interactions. If you are talking about ss/IBA...
An immersion heater in a soap/wax/rinse tank is better for maintaining water that is already warm or hot. It probably can’t keep up with the demand of a soap tank that is constantly being refilled with cold water when on heavy use. Incoming water temperatures in the colder weather are lower...
A wash should most definitely force water in areas that rain does not. It just seems to me that your wash would have this smell and it would be rather pervasive in the wash if you are noticing after the fact on the car.
That is odd. Do you smell the foul smell anywhere in the wash or is it only on the car itself? Are you getting a good rinse? Maybe residual wash water that has not been flushed out of the various drainage tracts around the bottom of the windshield where the wipers rest, or in the door...
When I park in my garage after I go through my tunnel, I get the scent of my final sealer or drying agent that is applied. What scent are you getting after your wash?
Could be a very early N/S design that I have never seen before. They have a pretty high presence in the drive through/dealership market. Not sure they ever used hydraulic motors though. My bet is still a home made/ very small manufacturer.
It wasn’t uncommon in the 1970’s and 1980’s to find some small, regional manufacturers that pretty much made “homemade “ equipment. This looks like it might be from that era and could be a one of very few machines from a small, never really heard of company.
They are not currently listed on eBay. They were sold a while back. They are not on the car wash consignment site. It really doesn’t matter- they are no longer available anyway.
I’ve seen the IBA’s on various sites. One was actually on eBay. Again, not a lot of them out at this point, relatively speaking, to see many used ones.
