I have been running these fittings and hoses for 30+ years. The hose is not wire braid but a nylon reinforced braid hose- hose and ends are synflex brand.
The crimps are far from loose. I have had crimps and hose in the system Decades with no problems. (I have tried the wire braid on a couple...
I am having a problem with the interior hose barb on my HP hose ends rusting/deteriorating enough that the hose finally separates itself from the fitting under HP. This is happening at only one of two washes. The only change, in the past year at the problem wash is I started an RO reject...
Had a problem with this about 20 years ago and we just replaced the copper back then in the carwash, other places in the facilities sch 80 pvc was used. Today we would have used PEX. Another way might be braided/reinforced hose as a replacement.
We found that it was the water being aggressive...
Is the pump above the water level? If so you will have a tough time getting the system filled and staying full if there may be a leak somewhere.
One way to attempt to fill it is as stated earlier is with a hose. Hook it up on the outlet side of the T&P relief valve. Turn water on, manually open...
What purpose would the 1" foam panels provide? I am tempted to put vinyl siding on the exterior. Have say vertical panels from the ground to the top of the bays and then go with lap siding the rest of the way up. Or visa-versa.
Ok all, maybe you don't have it on your wash but what have you...
I would like to reignite this thread. I, as Sparkey started, has painted block walls on the exterior. I would like to make a change which is less upkeep mostly no painting. Are there any operators who has covered their exterior building with a suitable product for the carwash??
Had vandalism all the time when we were all cash. Meters attempted to be opened and a few times succeeded but mostly damage and frustration. Equipment room door broken, actually got inside even with the alarm system had enough time to do damage to the back of changer (didn't get cash) but took...
good picture cwguy.com. The fire brick looks in good condition. Wish mine looked like this- I put too much water on them before I knew what I was doing. Learn by mistakes-a lot of them.
When at this point, or the burners also slide out from the side, take a wire brush to the burners to clean...
As long as the wash water is soft you are good. I have had hard water rinse for decades in my IBA and has not hurt my pumps or anything else (just normal plumbing corrosion for galv plumbing. The amount of time hard water is in the pump is minimal and with the next wash cycle with hot, soft...
I was closed for a day and half. We have not had a long streak of single digits like others but we have had a lot of wind which hurts about as much.
Decided if I was lighting the wash, keeping the floors heated (still had ice build up with wind chill) and heating the water for weep & trough...
The sides have the firewalls in them. They can only be removed from the top in one piece. Do not get the white fire wall brick wet too much. They will fall apart if too much water gets soaked up.
The first picture looks good as I see it. If you back light under the manifold and look thru from...
I've used a jigsaw & sawzall. Both work good and very noisy. Put the band on the flue and mark around flue then lower the band 2 or 3 inches and mark. Remove band and cut.
Not really, the way the flues are installed makes it really difficult.
I cut a 2" section out of the flue about 6"above the hood so I can remove the draft hood and work down to the boiler. When I put the boiler and hood back together there was a 2" section of the flue gone.
I went to a sheet...
After 32 years in the carwash business, I decided today to close both my washes with temps hovering at 10 plus windchill. I have never closed the washes unless there is a facility wide repair or problem.
So many times when it snows with frigid temps I have cars with snow all over the car blow...
I have an RV bay and I get much more than RV,s. (I knew I would) I get dump trucks, tractor/trailers, tow trucks, farm tractors, parking lot cleaners. Stay on top of the cleaning and tell them to clean after making their mess. It can be a good source of business but it can cost you more in...
I have not been a fan of flex wands mostly due to the wand is never really straight and for wash down of bays there is the stress on the wrist as well for the customer washing the car. The guys who really want to wash in the hard to reach places find a way.
I too have found that in the winter...
I am looking for a windows 7 computer cause the software would not download on my windows 8.
I printed pictures from forum to start copying when I'm ready. Still reading the manual to understand the jargon ( things like "edge triggered wiping relays".) sounds like I will need another set of...
