A detailer was a total flop at my location. We had a pretty bad detailer though. They would use our SS bays for extended periods of time blocking my regular customers, didn't clean up after themselves, and would kick back in folding chairs behind my building smoking cigars when they were between...
I've drilled out several of these with hardened bits through the keyhole. Nothing you can't find on youtube so not worried about posting it here. Smaller bit first, then bigger bit next. Might or might not have to pry back the backing plate with a pry bar to access the slider (not sure what its...
Used to have to change out my rotary switch at least every 4-6 months. Upgraded to Electroswitch from Shallco switches, added seal nuts, and packed the orifices with dialectric grease. Haven't changed a switch in over 2 years. Made a HUGE difference.
I don't have any experience with Arimitsu pumps, but I would notice cavitation between 10-20 psi if I recall correctly. I have CAT 5CP2150W pumps and the manual states "optimum pump performance is obtained with +20 PSI (1.4 BAR) inlet pressure..." and also "inlet supply should exceed the maximum...
Air logic nozzles on my air shamee II's made their use skyrocket. Just make sure to put up the smaller foam cannon holsters on the wall or the air logic nozzle will fly around the bay when they're activated.
Is there any way that you are starving your pumps of water? We were going through seal kits about the same amount for our first two years of operations and figured out that when the float valve to my IBA storage tank opened up it would drop our water pressure to our self serves and cause...
We use stock tokens as we believe the difference in price makes up for any other tokens that people may have gotten elsewhere. This is completely location dependent though, because if somebody near you sells them for significantly cheaper than you could be taken to the cleaners. We used to have...
I hate how high those ford F150's wipers sit on their windshield... My Mark VII auto has ripped off more Ford F150 wipers and tossed them around my bay than any other vehicle model.
Compressed air, or disassemble your seatbelt mechanism. They come apart fairly easily depending on the model. Not the correct forum for these questions though, I would check out Autopia detailers forum.

We use cheap 32 gallon black plastic containers from the local hardware store. We used to have issues with the lids blowing away (literally gone with the wind) so I took some cheap small gauge stainless cable and a stainless fishing swivel, and tethered the lids to the nearest place that was...
To add to what's above, also post pictures of the problem. Everybody's setup is slightly different, so the answers will also be slightly different depending on the equipment and setup. Best of luck!
What injector are you using? Are all your other high and low pressure systems working? I would verify the injector size. We run our wax at mid pressure, and are using a red injector 1GPM with tan tip I believe.
These are all location dependent

I make a fairly healthy profit off tokens, and it also keeps cash out of the bays, though I accept quarters. I go through about 10,000 every year to year and a half. I pay around $0.30 per token and sell them for a dollar. No credit card reader on my...
Your water displacement chemicals (Rain-X, clear coat sealant, wax, ceramic sealant, etc.) will cause the water to bead and run off the car, allowing a better dry. I would check that first, as there isn't much that can be done for the dryers. Your distributor should be able to assist. If not...
As @DakotaHoskins said, check the orange gum wheel. Run your side brushes in and out and see if you have any slippage of the wheel. If you do there are 3 (I think) large nuts that have to be loosened, and then there is a bolt on top of the side brush that you can tighten down to increase the...
I replace brushes several times before I replace the motor. You definitely need to make sure to replace them before they get too short though. If you let them get to short, electricity arcs between the two surfaces and ends up ruining the motor. The brush kits that we order have a little...
@David Rolf
We had a scummy customer do this at our wash a while back. He used our water through his own hose that he routed all the way around our building and his own bucket and soap. Then to add insult to injury as he was rolling his hose back up he swung the end of his hose against our wall...
To charge in this kind of time, you would have to have a level 3 fast charger, and if you have looked into this (we have), just the hardware is anywhere from $10,000 to $40,000. Then there is install. I feel like the ROI for this would be incredibly slow... Nothing wrong with this, but not the...
