Coach is probably right. Most start with lo first. Hell, even the website of the company I buy from says too.
You look up a lo ph pre soak on the Chemquest web site it says
“ use as the first step in a 2 step wash process”.
Change is slow- but after 2 yrs of complaining my rep finally got...
Hi ph presoak then lo ph pre soak
Then rinse
In an application of alkaline presoak (hi) first - alkaline hits the neutral surface and begins to eat dirt. There is nothing on the car that keeps the alkaline from working to its max efficiency.
If lo ph acid is applied first. Then the alkaline...
First - we have no idea where you are
(Dont know why anybody gets on here and doesnt say at least what state they are in)
Each region of the country is different
I have razors
No idea why you are running lo ph first!
You can cut the alkaline down drop wise if you put it on first
Then come...
Kentadel is spot on with a 15-20% increase.
Any competition? Probably not in 5500 ppl town.
I have 2 washes, both on the same state highway 7 miles apart. Very busy state highway. Cars per day mean nothing to me on that road!
One is in a 3500 population town.
we bought a used Razor 3 to...
I follow your comments on here all the time and respect your opinions.
I m curious why you brought up the “touchless” topic. Yes, I m a fan of touchless, but I never mentioned wash types in my theory. Because I know there are IBA folks that are considering it.
I dont advertise, and I dont...
So its been a great weekend here in Ohio
Finally some good washing weather.
I have been working on this theory for a year and get more confident about it all the time, and am really confident after this weekend.
On Friday, feeling like we were going to be busy I told myself that I wanted to...
I fear that we will see more stupidity in the near future.
I have a theory on this- that I m pretty confident of. I ll explain tonight when I have time to type it all.
Back to washing cars for now.
If you are going to apply ceramic and eventually graphene
Get rid of the Carnuba wax
It fights with the ceramic- and is a waste of money on your part.
cars will look better and DRY better!!!!
Agreeing with Greg, I would also not apply a clear coat. That is what the ceramic and graphene are for!
A word on new generation chemicals that have arrived in the last year or two.
As stated on this forum in a lot of areas, I have been experimenting in 2023 with several new chemicals - Ultra concentrated products.
I am having GREAT success with these new products - thats not the issue.
What I...
Can’t argue with any of that!
It’s why I said “I miss those days” - because they are gone and are’nt coming back for a multitude of reasons, two of which you stated.
Customers will adjust.
The restaurant across the street from the wash was closed on Sundays and Mondays for a while. People adjusted - They were just busier the other 5 days!
When I was a boy I remember having to go get gas on Saturday so we could go to church because gas stations were all...
That red foam gun that is in the picture is the old tri foam gun. Changed the nozzle to a flat fan and apply the ceramic with it.
That is the only product that is applied with that gun.
I am considering trying to apply it at another site I own with a low pressure pump thru the wand.
I see no...
As stated in-the washnshine post, dialing in ceramic takes some time to get the desired result without wasting your money by over applying.
in the ss bay we tested until we found the right tip on hydro minder and turned air down a bit from my tri foam days.
it takes about one minute to apply to...

I was going to post something before the show when we were headed there Saturday. I B…. Now I feel bad that I did not!
Show was great. Met Roz, Greg, and a few others. Great conversations with all.
I totally echo Greg and Roz’s assesments!
Chemquest booth was busy.
Hamilton had a great...
As stated - Graphene is definitely the top tier. I do a fairly good job explaining it to the Customers on the menu
like the $15.00 mark
Where do your underbody and dryer fit into this program
I m 10-12 -16-18
A brief synopsis
10 is wash and dry
12 gets underbody and tri foam
16 gets ceramic
18...
Been doing lots of testing.
settled on Prizm for tri foam
But before prizm and after hp rinse
I m spritzing the car with Plummett
Lp function thru the foam bar
That one last pass of low ph just sets things up well for ceramic application.

I think Roz is mixing it in with his tri foam...
