New to Friction Machines where to begin?

I fully agree - Ryko is the sets the standard of the friction rollover. I would look at other machines as well, just so you cover all your bases and do not have any second thoughts, but this type of machine is Ryko's specialty. I have not heard about a 5 brush entry level machine, but I...

    New Touchless Tunnel

I'm sure Sudzie has closely weighed his options when opening a touchless tunnel. He's not a first time operator and is obviously aware of the considerations of a touchless wash and the demographic he is serving. Since he already has a friction tunnel close by, he's got handle on the entire...

    New Touchless Tunnel

Great looking tunnel - good luck. What other C.A.R. products are you using - for ccp, polish, etc.?

Sorry - didn't read your first post closely enough.

    Water Conservation

Earl, Is this pulsing a pump? If so, my guess is that it will greatly decrease the life of the pump. Also, I wouldn't mess with decreasing my cloth/brush lube in any way - it is so critical to safe and effective cleaning. Just my thoughts.

    bugs/wheel/tire

Thank you both. Is the simple green solution safe to put on hot surfaces in the summer? I know most of the designated bug stuff is buffered. Thanks again. Mike

    bugs/wheel/tire

Is anyone using the same product for both wheels and bug prep? Is there a product out there that is safe and effective for both? Currently, I have my bug prep in tank sprayers and my wheel cleaner is applied with low pressure guns. I'd like to get rid of the tank sprayers and be able to use...

    Drying Agents

It is probably best to get the soap off before any drying agent is applied - it will work the best this way. Do you have a fresh/clear water rinse before the DA? I would recommend one pass of a clear water rinse and no wraps/mitters in action. Then a DA after that should do the trick. I am...

    foamer/body soap

Good advice - thank you. We generally take care of the bug removal in the prep with a hi ph bug-off product applied and removed manually to the nose, windshield and backs of the side view mirrors. Just wanted to see if there was much of a difference in the road film removal on the general...

    foamer/body soap

Those of you who are using only one product for your entrance body foam application/brush lube in a friction system, are you using a ph balanced product, hi ph or low ph? How hi or low? I'm talking after and aside from any bug, wheel, prep work that is done - just the central soap process on...

New Arch- Simoniz Hot Wax & Shine

I used it at Tom Hoffman's newest location in vestal, NY. It does put on a show and while it is difficult to say for sure the type of protection you get in an application such as this, I would say it is equal to any of the other comparable high-end products, just delivered in a different way...

    3x Foam Detergent vs. Polish

Hey RykoPro, On the friction machine, is the foam wax worked in with the brushes, or just foamed on and rinsed off without any friction? Almost all of Ryko machines I have seen have the trifoam detergent, but I don't think I've seen one with the foam wax. Just curious. Mike

    3x Foam Detergent vs. Polish

What product are you using and is the machine touchfree or friction? If this is a touchfree IBA, a pH neutral colored detergent will do next to nothing. As previously mentioned, the polish should start to disperse the water and actually helps begin the drying process. If you have a touchfree...

    AUTEC Foam Brushes

I might be wrong, but I think the original poster is talking about converting the side wheels to foam instead of cloth. As far as I know, the Autec only comes with a cloth mitter for the top and does not have an option for a top foam wheel. Any IBA friction is probably safer with foam rather...

Adding combo wash- need pricing ideas....

Ditto - not a good idea to make one more expensive/less expensive than the other. We regularly condition our customers to understand that they "get what they pay for" A basic wash is just that, a super wash, which costs more, does wheels, wax, foam polish, sealant, underspray etc. It...

Soft touch signage vs. touch free

You should put that on the sign - lol!

    Kleen-seal with teflon

My guess is that it is their own version of a super sealer, however it is priced about the same as their regular drying agent. Everyone knows Rain-X is the most expensive, and other brands like Double Bond by Simoniz have brand recognition, but cost less, and now, just about every chemical...
