I like these choices as well. Probably best to avoid advertising cloth, since it isn't really cloth. We all remember the big lawsuits about advertising wax that was not wax. You never know in our litigious society if using the word "cloth" in a foam-equipped wash will spark some sort of legal...
If the smell is not in the bucket you draw from, but only when it draws through the system, the contamination has to be somewhere between the mix tank and the machine
If you smell it the next morning in a fresh, cleaned out mix tank, is it possible the contamination occurs after the mix tank...
Here is the rest - I got too wordy on the above post:
I could see if I went the route of a mini tunnel, I would have to get an attendant, and close the wash in the evening. Comparing this scenario to my competition, my customers would see my wash as an under-equipped conveyorized wash with no...
I found this post interesting - here is a perspective that I believe many of my customers would have if I made a conversion.
Most of my competition for my friction IBA here in the northeast is exterior washes - not express exterior, not $3 express, not full serve, but just plain exterior...
Ditto.
Once you get your cloth clean, this is the best way to prevent reoccurrence of this problem, so you won't have to go through it again.
In fact, even if you currently do not have a foamer prior to this mitter, this is probably a good reason to get one. Extra lube on the cars, and...
Here is another option - it gives the customer two choices for how they want to handle the billing. BTW - this is not my wash policy - it is a friend of mine who did not mind me sharing.
Services Available

I agree there is the chance that you will line up some "dry only" customers and possibly scare off some of those who are going to purchase a full wash. Also, as was mentioned, if there is no sealer applied in the SS, it will not work. Also, on a warm, sunny day, if the customer is driving from...
Earl,
If you are talking about the Tunnel Towel product, I never bought any, but I did look at it online once when I was thinking of placing an order from KR. I don't think it is very concentrated - 64-100:1. That is pretty watered down for a drying agent. I'm sure the price is reflective of...
If it is a front to rear mitter, just cut the anchors and turn it on!
Just adding a little humor to the post - sorry I don't have any good suggestions - I think you already got some anyway.
:D
Time to replace the cloth on one of my mitters and was wondering if this cut I saw on Hanna's site has any advantages. The cloth is not cut into strips, but is one big sheet. Seems to me like it would not get around luggage racks and various other irregular protrusions. On the other hand, it...
Cool idea, but I'm not sure if that machine can have the arch in a 180 degree position facing away from the outer perimeter of the bridge - it seems like the top of the inverted L would be overlapping and interfering with the edge of the bridge and/or the travel rails. I also don't think you...
I have not seen either the PDQ Pro Touch or the D&S IQ in person, but taking into account that they are both next generation type 3 brush rollovers, I'd have to say the IQ looks more appealing from a few standpoints.
The openness of the IQ is very attractive to customers and operators. Seems...
Sudzie,
I see the three you have posted - looks great. I like the color scheme a lot and the overall design. Looks like a perfect fit for the surrounding landscape. The windows on the sides look like they would keep your tunnel very bright and open.
Thanks for posting.
Mike
It is not uncommon for a friction machine to have a triple foam detergent applied early in the wash cycle. With a touchfree, you have to hit the car with the lo/hi or just hi presoaks first, and then possibly use the tri foam to help neutralize alkalinity and provide the show.
In a friction...
This product is a detailing product, but works extremely well in a ss bay at 128:1 - 64:1.

Of course, at $18 per gallon, it is pricey, but you can get a savings with a bulk shipment. Also, it is a seasonal product, so you...
