Bubbles, 3/8" and 1/2" s.s.tubing must be bent with a hand tubing bender. 3/4" tubing can be bent with a 3/4" conduit bender. With the 3/4" tubing, just go slow and gently and it will bend perfectly. FYI...1/4" tubing can be bent by hand without a hand held bender.
My service truck is an '05 Dodge Sprinter. 5 cyl Mercedes diesel engine, 3/4 ton chassis. With over 120k miles on it now it consistently gets around 24-25 mpg. A little better in city driving than highway driving. Big enough to carry just about anything I need. Roomy and tall enough to walk...
This is how I wired the 20 hp blower motors for "Y-Delta" start.
Wires 1,4,7 to motor starter 1, wires 2,5,8 to motor starter 2, wires 3,6,9 to motor starter 3. Start signal wire to motor starter 1 to timer 1, to motor starter 2 , to timer 2, to motor starter 3. Each phase will start...
My wife has an '09 Toyota Camry Hybrid that we consistently get 30- 35 mpg, even on long interstate trips. Around town, it's not uncommon to get up to 40 mpg.
I'm not surprised that electricians don't know about "Y-Delta" start, I had to teach the electrician that I used for this how to hook it up, even after he told me he knew how to do it.
Years ago I wired a 2 motor dryer with a "Y-Delta" start configuration. The original motors are still running due to the soft start of this system. Requires 3 motor starters and 2 on delay timers. It starts each phase , one at a time. This might work for a Cat 3535 but it would take a few...
I have been working on and own a car wash with the Igus track system. Most are many years old, some new and have not had problems with hose and/or cable wear. Sure, hoses wear out from rubbing but not all that bad. A lot of the IBA's that I service as well as my own have the original poly tubing...
Yes phred, I cornered one of the reps at the ICA convention and he promised he would check out the pumps and see what caused the failure. A few weeks later I got new pumps delivered . What a surprise!!!
Mac, the electric cables "corkscrewing" in the carrier tray happens a lot and will cause problems. The first thing I would do is replace all those twisted cables then see how things work. I have no experience with the Wasumat, but I do have experience with the electric cables corkscrewing and I...
Randy, I've had a couple of the 5cp pumps fail due to rod/crank problems. Talked to a Cat rep and he told me to send them in for evaluation and replacement. Sent them on and got them replaced at no charge.
Isn't it interesting....they can kill you with impunity for being a Christian, but do or say anything negative about them and all hell breaks loose.
It would be a good thing to follow the lead of that Austrian leader. Boot them out....NOW!
I visit the Forum every day as part of my morning routine but I don't always log on as sometimes I just want to see whats going on with others across the country. I'm always amazed by the wealth of knowledge and helpfulness of most of the participants on here. The times that I do log on is if I...
Up until a few years ago, Valero (Diamond Shamrock then) had about 10 of these systems still in operation that I serviced. Real workhorses of their day.
The danger to America is not Barak Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have...
Usually it is the pressure relief valve that causes that. I had to go through 3-4 relief valves before it worked correctly. They have a tendency to stick or not open properly and cause an overpressure situation tripping the motor or blowing out the gauge.
A good rainy day project, remove all the bolts and coat them with a never seize compound. Might be helpful down the road. I use a product called "Fluid Film"...works for me.
I called Grant/Dilling-Harris last week for tech support. Gat an answer on the second ring and talked to a tech that was able to solve my problem. I have also called them on previous occasions with no problems.
