    Powerain Touchless IBA

Mac, would you mind telling me what specific swivel you used for the conversion? I have a metal fabricating business, so the rest of the job wouldn't be an issue. Good quality swivels aren't cheap and I'd just as soon not get into trying different models, when you have apparently figured out...

    Powerain Touchless IBA

I think Mr. Clean posted his repsonse in the wrong thread here. Galen hasn't offered his wit and wisdom anywhere in this thread. Further, there is nothing about Laser's and virtual treadles in this thread either.

    Powerain Touchless IBA

Mac, I would interested in hearing about your "swivel modification". Do you angle the nozzles and let the high pressure provide rotation? You must have a "pre-soak arch" on your machine, my old model runs the pre-soak thru the rotating swivels. If the swivels didn't rotate (and they wouldn't if...

    Powerain Touchless IBA

I have had a Powerain since 1994 (they originally called it the "Husky"). I think I have seen everything that can possibly go wrong with these units. With regards to the tracks, I have taken the nuts off by heating them with an oxy-actylene torch and then re-shimmed the tracks using a rotating...

    compressor again

I have had to change out 2 of those check valves over the years in my Ingersoll-Rand T-30 compressors. Yeah, it's kind of a pain, and I think I paid about $40 for them (not really sure). Air leaking at the unloader is the symptom, not the problem.

    Private Message - Spam

Hey Bill, why am I getting a "private message" from Jeannette about Buddhism? Here is an excerpted portion of the message: Quote: Hi, I'm new here, how's it going? "Buddhism has the characteristics ..... Unquote --- Jeannette http://jeannette.######### What is the point of this? What does...

upgrade 20 amp breaker to 25 on 12 gauge wire

You could sort-of do that. The problem is in the wire color-coding (which could be modified). That circuit will have a black and white wire plus bare copper (could be green) wire running to the lights. This indicates "hot" (black), "neutral" (white), & "ground" (bare or green). If he wants to...

    Lighting question

Back in 1999, when my wash was 5 years old, I replaced all my old plastic wall packs by Lithonia Lighting with nice, new, wall packs with glass lenses. The plastic had gotten yellow, brittle, and were cracking. After living with the glass wall packs for 8 years or so, I think I prefer plastic...

    Vacuums

I had one of those customers, but I almost felt sorry for him. Nice kid, just had a birthday, and apparently his friends thought it would be a hoot to fill his car with those packing peanuts! What a mess, clogging the vac's, blowing all over the lot, etc. I stopped him and tried to help by using...

upgrade 20 amp breaker to 25 on 12 gauge wire

I think you may be missing something here. Don't these lights draw "extra" current during the initial "light off"? I believe they do, and in which case he is probably drawing over the current limit. If you could stagger the starts, you could probably get by. Fir up the 400 watt either first or...

    Checked Methonal Prices Lately?

North America (Valid January 1 - January 31, 2008) Methanex Non-Discounted Reference Price USD 2.50/Gal* Posted December 19, 2007 USD 832/MT * Converted to USD/MT using a conversion rate of 332.6 Gal per MT This is the information I found while doing an online search for the price of...

    Checked Methonal Prices Lately?

That sort of pricing doesn't make sense. It should never be higher than gasoline. Alcohol production from corn is on the rise and output will probably continue to increase. If methanol is near $10/gal, what would a bottle of scotch cost? Alcohol is used in a lot of things and as a solvent, I...

    Broken hose

You can buy them where hydraulic fittings are sold. McMaster Carr sells them for about $3, I'm sure Kleenrite probably has them but I can't find them in their online catalog. Here is a pic. It has to be high-pressure, hence the hydraulic fittings stores. The fittings swivel only during assembly...

    Broken hose

I used to always keep a couple of these around for just such occassions. Alternatively, you can buy/borrow one of the portable crimpers and do it "where it lays". I have one of the parker swaging machines (too big and heavy) and a portable EASTCO unit (2 piece affair similar to "port-a-powr)...

    Methanol Foam Brush Soap

Just picked up 30gal of methanol this afternoon. Pumping it into my own plastic drum, came to $89.46 out the door. With my winter foam brush additive, this means I'm paying about $190 for a 55gal of solution. Note that this means I'm supplying the drum, picking up my additive and methanol, and...

    Methanol Foam Brush Soap

Same here, find out where your local midget racers get their alcohol. My supplier has pumps just like at the gas station; pull up fill up your tanks, go inside and pay. I used to get mine from a chemical supplier in 55 gal metal drums. Too much trouble. I now use 2 of the 15gal plastic drums and...

    a few questions

Thanks Rob R for making me laugh. :D I have been running all day and just sat down to pay a few bills at the computer and thought I'd check out the website. Some day, if you do your homework, you'll look back at the questions you asked with a new perspective. Right now, you probably don't know...
