The best marketing strategy I ever used was based around a 6ft6 waving gorilla I purchased and placed on the road. It looked like someone was dressed up in a gorilla suit and was waving at the cars with a sign around its neck. The amount of free social media exposure was amazing!
This could be from multiple causes. Check the display of the red lion controller which will give you an idea as to why. (Water run out, pre soak low, hub scrubs not retracting......) too many possibilities. Search the alarm history and go through the faults
Car wash app
I know of a company in Finland called super operator. They use a payment app along with license plate recognition. I am told it works exceptionally well. See www.superoperator.com
I have many washes in gas stations operating on a revenue share agreement. No rent to pay, gas station supplies all services (air, water, waste water, power and insurance!) I find gas stations often have no idea on how to run a wash so a good car wash operator can turn the business around. Just...
I would unscrew both sensors and clean out the electrical connection first. Then check the gap. You want to be able to spin the star wheel slowly and see both lights coming on and off. Too close and they will stay on and too far will keep them off. Also check that the front of the sensors are...
I have to agree with Mac, I have used this and am actually installing a massive storage tank in London UK for a truck wash rinse. It works so well as a final rinse. As you cannot guarantee that you will get rain, a small back up r.o would be needed. Also be sure to add a 5 micron filter before...
"So, I guess all the truck wash information in the following link is bogus." Certainly that is not what I stated! Just as the "two bucket method" is often considered the best way to wash a car, it is not the best way to make a profitable business. I refer to hybrid automatics as they have the...
Before I say anything, I will state that I am the v.p of operations for Whiting Systems in Europe, Australia and the middle east. Their does seem to be some great advice on hear and Mac is spot on with his figures showing profit margins. For a commercial truck wash, you absolutely need to have...
What terribly sad news. I met Randy many times and liked his outgoing personality. I have not seen him in years but my memory of him is that he was the kind of man who always the center of attention in any room.
May he rest in peace!
This is my opinion for what its worth!
1. 3 brushes are fine if you wash under 16k cars per year. Over that go, with 5. But be sure the side brushes overlap!
2. Not qualified to answer, no duallies in my market.
3. Definitely need guide rails. Low profile though, due to wheel wash brushes...
I fitted the blast tech pros to about 8 x water wizards after trialling them. I found a big improvement with cleaning even at a lower pressure. They also use about 30% less water than my original zero deg v jet nozzles. They should work on any machine with a dedicated high pressure outlet. If...
A really cheap way is to inject citric acid into the rinse water before the drying agent. Citric acid is cheap, safe and really works well for this type of application.
I see from old posts that this has come up in the past. But has anyone been using this system for monthly wash programs and how are you finding the technology and back up software?
Imo were in big trouble with many of their sites. The washes were in a bad way, they had awful wash quality and struggled to get consumers in. They have now turned things around and seem to be getting strong again.
After operating for 6 x years on 1 x step pre soak I tried 2 x step. Low first then high. Now I have converted all my iba's to 2 step. I now dont think any touchless wash should be single step. If you get the right products, right strengths and right dwell times you will get a fantastic clean.
For a building that is cost effective and very aesthetically pleasing you should take a look at the Adriateh buildings. I believe xtreme wash gear from Oklahoma are agents. Steel and glass but nice designs. http://xtremewashgear.com/carwash-cleaning-technology/
Here is an interesting thread as I am adding free vacs to my iba's. I am space limited though so planned on having a time limit on the vacs. (Push a button for 4 x mins of free vac then button wont work for 3 x mins so the customer leaves and the next customer can use it)
Pay vacs are available...
