to piggy back off of DavidM, I also switched to dollar coins about 2001. The customers get used to it. My price in the bays in now $5 for 5 minutes. That obviously means that a quarter is worth 20 seconds. Imagine a customer dropping in a quarter for more time and turning back towards the...
great looking faceplate decals! where did you get the decal on the CryptoPay swiper? My biggest issue at the wash is people not pushing the stop button.
I think you should expand the wash area from 40x16 to something wider or longer. Make an interior vacuum/detail area. That may encourage people to use you facility if they have the opportunity to clean the interior in a covered heated environment.
Check out what the Canadian’s call a “2 door”...
Looks like you have a single transformer for all the bays. I’d jump to the long terminal strip to check voltage. You’ll have to trace the wires back to the transformer to confirm but a good guess is the top black wire is 24vac and the white is neutral. THIS ISN’T ALWAYS CORRECT. If you have...
Time to get out your volt meter. Go to the transformer, select A/C voltage on the meter and check the primary (input) for 120vac, then check the secondary (output) for 24vac. If you have 24vac coming out of the transformer you can just keep checking further and further downstream. Since you...
there is another prox and star wheel (flag) on the bridge motor. its located on the passenger side above where the arch parks. This is the one I'd suspect being an issue.
Make sure all of your prox sensors are a credit card thickness away from the star wheel. If the prox gets too far away and misses a count the machine will just stop. 3 proxes for the arch rotate, 1 for the bridge and 1 for the carriage.
The 3 stop proxes typically won't cause this fault...
Heat gun, razor blade and 3M adhesive remover. You may need to go to a body shop supply store to get the 3M adhesive remover. Make sure you get every bit of old adhesive and residue off of the door. Any little bogger of old adhesive will telegraph there new decal and it will look terrible...
I use JBS Storm. I does need the HazMat shipping but it is very concentrated so it lasts a long time at a busy SS location.
Don’t tho k this product or any product will give you the touchless in a SS bay effect that you’re looking for. The impingement for a SS bay just isn’t the same
I’ve had this same coil burn out. Searched everywhere and couldn’t find anyone that would help me with a part number and couldn’t find similar specs anywhere. The interior diameter of the coil was the issue. I didn’t feel comfortable using the incorrect size so I bit the bullet and bought the...
I understand that some areas, especially the mid west, have limited choices for service. It been a long, long held belief on this forum that it isn’t “who has the best equipment?” but “who has the best distributor?” A good service tech can make a poorly designed machine preform well.
I was...
Do us all a favor and run your plan by someone. People here are extremely helpful. Our opinion doesn’t cost you anything but people here to help you giving our own time. It’s as frustrating for us as it is for you to throw money at a solution only to find out you had better options.
