    Self-Serve Bay Lighting Question

go with the t5 ho ballast and bulbs. I would not use the 6500k color temp bulbs. Use 3500k or 4100k. The 6500k color temp bulbs are NOT brighter, they are actually a different color (purple) light. The higher the K number is not brightness, it is color temp. as for replacement lenses, try...

    chemical fragerance and color

jbs will sell you fragrance and dye. I would use their products, since you know that they will mix in with your current products and will not cause side effects.

    Wash Cycle Pressure Loss

being a 310, it must be belt driven, so maybe a slipping belt. maybe a check valve on the bay manifold is failing. this is where the presoak, spotfree, air assist, etc, all combine into the main line.

    J. E. Adams Turbo Towel

I think you're blowing this whole velocity/cfm way out of proportion. They're just throwing numbers out there to help "sell the (wind) farm". Some companies sales tactics are full of hot air. I just stuck my wet finger in the air....... I sure wish you would stop sending that cold northwest...

    J. E. Adams Turbo Towel

the filter is nothing more than a screen at the end of the motor housing. There is no "y" fitting, both motors are built into one motor housing. I think the motors are basically the same as a car wash vac's motors. either way, i know motors are easily obtained. Yes, the do use some adhesive...

    J. E. Adams Turbo Towel

i have installed a lot of WIOTA brand bay blowers. They are made by WIOTA enterprises in Wiota, IA. Simple design, bay boom, lighted dome for bay mount or no dome for attic mount, been around for quite a few years now. They have tons of air speed and a nozzle that can withstand the abuses of...

    Vac it Up motors

mep, these are the tangential bypass motors and I think they are built with slightly coned bottom. They work fine if you would put them on a vac with the normal hole in it. However on my vac it up system , they just drilled little 3/8 inch holes into a flat piece of steel, and the vac motor...

    water softener tank

sounds like it is time to replace tank. might as well replace resin in both tanks if they are 10 years old or older.

    Vac it Up motors

i bought the domel repalcement from windtrax, but it did not work on my vac it up system. The bottom of the domel motor is not completely flat, so it did not seat up tight to the bottom of my quarter box.

    For those CFL converts…

the LED retro kit into a 175w mh fixture makes no sense to me. You spend $325 for a 50watt LED kit, then put it into an old -looking fixture. I have been replacing 175 mh fixtures with 4ft. T5HO fixtures for years now. The T5's are 54 watts, so about same energy useage as LED. The difference...

Laser 4000 will not move intertmittenly

a lot of older pdq's have corrosion inside of a motor's electrical box. a lot of times, the screws that hold the cover plate on the motor will rust away or will get broken when someone tries to get it open. this allows moisture to get into the connections. A leaking inline swivel may be...

    Changer emptied...strung?

units hit here were hamilton acw's w/hamilton validators, hamilton changer w/ coinco validator, hamilton changers w/hamilton validators i didn't see the other units that were hit, but mine showed no signs of tampering. my harness is tied and covered, and we have a custom built cover inside the...

    Changer emptied...strung?

we have name, address and vehicle description of the guy who strung our changers in northeast iowa. At least 6 different sites 50 miles apart. He is from ohio, so i'm sure he passed thru your area. There is a warrant out for him, but since it so far away, our local pd can't get **** done in ohio.

    lazer 4000 problem

thanks festoon is less than 2 years old, so i don't think it would be this. i've had problems with carlo gavozzi amps and gavozzi relay bases before at other sites. I bet it is a bad amp or socket. thanks Kris, I wasn't thinking that a bad input from the tbar would stop the bridge short of...

    lazer 4000 problem

eyes replaced all way back. previous service company had them spliced (poorly) in the tbars, but i guess they had been that way for years. thats what i don't get; it will wash perfect one lap, the next lap it might go all the way to the rear limit and continue washing, without any errors...

    lazer 4000 problem

problem is not related to vehicle type, size, pickup i was thinking mid limit as reason why it would travel full length sometimes, but does mid limit explain stopping too soon and turning into the side of vehicles? thanks for the responses

    lazer 4000 problem

some passes, not all the time, the bridge will run all the way to the rear limit then send the trolley across and continue the wash. Sometimes the bridge stops early, going forward direction or reverse direction, the arch turns, then the trolley runs the arch into the side of a car. It has...

have you been strung lately (Sept '12)

no on the mars or coinco validators. It wasn't just stringing, it was a professional that was able to "compromise" the autocashier without breaking in.
