Comparing those keypads to what you you suggested with a keypad is apples to bowling balls. Like I said before, it's not just the environmental it's the human interaction and humans suck.
We've looked at various things like that. Even controlling functions from the gun. The problem is the harsh environment and human interaction. I estimate something like what you are describing would have a life span measured in weeks, at best.
Agreed on the chlorine testing. From what's been posted I would be surprised if the carbon filter was any good. Also, the DI unit needs to find a convenient dumpster.
We've been seeing good performance from the Global Axios membranes over the last several years. I don't think I should post...
Cheap sounds familiar. I've had a lot of sites where soft, non-spot free water was plumbed into the spot free tank because either A) The RO unit wasn't spec'd out big enough to keep up with demand and/or B) the RO unit wasn't working correctly so it couldn't keep up. IMHO, doing that is lying to...
No argument intended. I've heard others claim 50 also but to have little to no spots at 50, so many other variables have to be just right and if you do creep up a bit above 50, you're screwed. At 30 it's far more forgiving.
They're morons. There isn't a set timeline. The TDS meter is the best thing you did. When the TDS creeps above 30 and/or you have to crank the pressure over 200psi to get your output. Membranes produce 1.5-2gpm per membrane at 160-170psi depending on manufacture, water temperature, quality, etc.
A RO with good quality membranes (98% efficient) should be able to get 650 TDS down to about 13 TDS.
Whoever did that install in your pictures should be ashamed. Looks like crap.
Tax returns are the only numbers you can trust.
If you don't know anything about a car wash, find a tech or service company to inspect everything. At the minimum get names, serial numbers, part numbers, and even pictures of all equipment and contact the manufacturer to find out if A) They are...
There are lots of suggested methods and all of them can suck based on the condition of the decals. We do hundreds of doors a year in our repair room and this is what we do:
1) Remove all components from door
2) Scrap off any loose pieces of decal
3) Soak door in a vat of mineral spirits over...
It's already been said but if the three solenoids are getting energized there are only three things to consider: bad solenoid(s), trash in solenoid(s), bad(or weak) chemical.
You left out the awesome tech support you got.
