I'm looking for a simple app where each day I can record how many cars washed, which wash did they buy, cash, credit sales and possibly show if im up or down each month compared to previous year. All the accounting apps im finding are setup for invoices or more complicated record keeping. Does anyone know a simple app that I could use to keep track of my small business?

I've been using Excel spreadsheets since 1998 with daily reports off a Datatrax controller then a Micrologic POS in 2011. I put that info in a 2 week spreadsheet so I can do payroll as well. Dailies from a 2 week go into a monthly and monthly totals go into an annual. It'll take a little while to set up but it's pretty bulletproof.

Since I entered Daily Sales in Quickbooks by Category it as simple to print any sort of report including end of year P&L for the accountant since expense are entered as they are paid as well. I can then also use that for monthly bank account reconciliations.
Since you mention which wash they buy then im assuming your a tunnel. At my tunnel location we have a square POS system with a iPad. You can see all the statistics you're looking for. You will get regular emails showing your monthly activity vs last month and etc. Im not sure what POS system you have now but the square is good, easy, and cheap. If you have paystations then it wont work. I purposely use square POS instead of a pay station because I want that employee to customer interaction.
