Please take note ! If you replace the hose do not cheap out on not using the sprial wrap on the hose again and dont use the old wrap either. change Everything at One Time brand new.
first hose 44k washes (new hp hose from WW is about $750 + shipping). 2nd cheap hose lasted 27k washes ($180). Just installed 3rd hose & was about $165. NOt sure how long it will last. But I ain't paying nearly $1000 for a hp hose. Looks like WW hose is about 5x as much as getting one done yourself.!!

1. They rub against something and wear out
2. They rot out and crack
The spiral wrap helps with a hose with soft outer layer. That type of hose will typically break because of wearing before cracking.
A tough cover hose though will not break from wear and will last until it finally cracks. These hoses last a lot longer. You can feel the difference just by touching them and even by looking at them. A spiral wrap has no purpose in this situation. Just a waste of money.
I use tough cover hoses in IGUS's because they last a lot longer. I use the softer cover hose in the SS bays because they feel better to hold onto and are not as rough.
