Access Communication Issue

Equipment: Access Unit, G5 wash.

From time to time we get a communication error from the G5 saying the access is not communicating. The wash will still work from the paystation using cash or codes, but the credit cards will not work, and most of the time we cannot access the paystation via the computer. Has anyone experienced this before? We have re uploaded the software to the access unit, replaced the internet cable etc. Was thinking the next steps were:?

Had that problem a while ago and changed the small board in the unit. My parts guy said it was cheaper to try that. Worked a couple months, then about 2 months ago started again and I replaced the main board. If I had known about them at the time I would have ordered a refurb from alliedelectronics.com. They have most of the pdq electronics. I've bought several things and haven't had any problems.

If you change the main board make sure you take pictures of every setting online and on the unit itself. Don't forget anything or it can be a real pain.
