For my automatic Presoap I am using Ver-Tech Black Knight however my Soap distributor said they are discontinuing this product. They are suggesting a company located in Charlotte North Carolina named Top Line I have never heard of them, but on the same day distributor told me the news the new express Wash getting ready to open just down the road Had two of their trucks in their parking lot. Thinking of trying C K Enterprises they have a Presoap called Formula 92 friend of mine is using it at his wash with good results

Your distributor is no longer selling Ver Tech or Ver Tech no longer sells Black Knight? If it’s the later, I would assume Ver Tech would have another presoak you could use. I’m not sure changing a whole line just because one product is discontinued is a good idea - especially if it’s working well for you.

I use all Ver Tech products at my wash I recently switched to their Vault Line and it's working very well for me, but if your looking to replace Black Knight with another High Ph ver tech chemical goto Golden Knight.

Golden Knight is what they are suggesting I switch to however a 30 gallon barrel will be over $700 I do love the Black Knight but even that just went up I know everything is going sky high. Does that price sound right for what you guys are using on your automatics the main thing I want is to clean a car as good as possible

A lot of presoaks are over $20/gal and some are as high as $40/gal list. You need to do a cost per car analysis. Get a graduated 500-1000 ml beaker and fill with presoak. Wash ten cars and do the math. I think touchfree chems retailing at $1/car is acceptable to most operators If it's doing a great job.

Look at your cost per car before the sticker shock of barrel cost. Ultra concentrates are going to be more expensive, but you will use less. If you want a lower barrel cost, stick to conventionals.
