Does anyone have another brand of remote control that will work for the Dixmor Timers? The Remote sold by Kleen-Rite for $34 which can be bought on Amazon for $6 simply doesn't last for us. There is something unique to the Power button that will fail within a couple weeks of use. If we disassemble the remote, the board is fine, it actually has something to do with the rubber button and whatever is on the back of it that completes the connection. The power button is the only button that ever fails! For $6 I shouldn't complain but with multiple washes it's frustrating showing up and the bays aren't washed down because the employee couldn't turn them on.

Do you have Cryptopay? If so you can get attendant cards to start the bays. They are awesome and I don't think we could live without them. I punch a hole in the corner and put them on retractable key rings.

We've been using Sony RM-KZ1 based on a post from a while back on these forums. Works well, don't have to give the code to attendants, one button will shoot the 4 digit code to the timer. We like it, hard to lose and durable

How does this work for the Sony RM-KZ1 ? How do you program it to turn on the bays with out punching in a code?

You don't have to do anything special. Follow the included directions to program your 4 digit code to one of the number buttons. Then its the same as using any other remote with the dixmor. Power button - your 1 button will shoot your 4 digit code to the timer - power again to start wash down - power again will stop wash down. Hope this helps!

I bought one of these Brightstar BR100B remotes to replace a Unimote that I had dropped and it quit working. Just this morning figured out the setup code...I won't post the code here, but to make it a bit more difficult to hack, its the Sony 3 digit code for this particular remote. You still have the timer code as another level of security. FWIW, I would never have a remote that you DON'T have to manually put in the timer code each time. My wife and I have both left remotes in the bay after cleaning up and they disappeared! If it would have been the RM-KZ1, the person who found it could possibly get free washes until you change the timer code on all your Dixmor timers...Something to think about...
