Anyone using CryptoPay Tap Plus and have the remote activation option? Wondering if it just works with a swiper or if it will work with a Tap Plus?

I am a little leery about putting these in. I have tap and swipe on my automatic and it seems many customers dont have tap credit cards or at least they are not aware they have tap. I am afraid I would loose business because they cant pay.

Can you use the swiper and Tap plus together? I like the idea of being able to do service recovery by providing a QR code that can be scanned by the Tap plus unit

I was told that the larger local credit union wouldn’t be adding TAP to their cards until 2028. This is the same credit union that has the worst cards that only read in my bays about 20% of the time

You can have both ( see picture)

The question was if it could be used in conjunction with a swiper and the answer is no. That is not a Cryptotap Plus unit but the older unit that needs a swiper installed with it to communicate to the coordinator.

We just received them (back ordered). Will see how they go in the next month as we start to install them. Cannot wait until they make an attendant card and loyalty card for them as we use those cards now.

Did they tell you they were planning on it? I was told they were not going to.

I have no experience with the tap plus, i was under the impression you could print out a QR code to use as your attendant card. If i were to add these in the future i would print the QR and laminate it if that is in-fact the case.

Dont think you can do that....I understand the QR code options are one and done. I put a plus on a vac to experiment. We have same concern, we really want an attendant card, but it isnt available.

Yup that is what we are hearing too. We are changing our plans and will experiment with a Plus on some vacs too and wait on other upgrades for swipers.

Agree with you, I like having both. Also, curious how you got this to work with an automatic wash? Looking to buy one and need to replace exacta swipers...

Is the unitec portal Ti an mdb based system? If so, nayax or any other vending machine credit card should be a near plug and play system.
