    Thoughts

We were about 90-10 in favor of CC. During covid we dropped cash altogether. It has worked out great.

Where are you located and what is your start-up price/minutes?

Not much competition close by. All the other car washes have been sold and torn down to build mixed use buildings. (apartments on top of 1 story of retail. I need to raise my prices again soon. Seattle is a really expensive place to live and run a business.

Another day at the car wash....

Our homeless situation in Seattle is bad. I mean beyond your wildest idea of awful. Lots of mental illness and drug addiction. We stopped taking cash altogether. Just credit card. No paper money of quarters at all. And added automatic gates to close the whole wash at 10PM and security...

    My competition?

Randy is in Tacoma which is still a pretty good business climate compared to where I am in Seattle. I'm a liberal but the condition of this city would make your head explode.

    No Cash Credit Cards Only.

Randy, I read somewhere that Hamilton has a new Goldline that does swipe less credit card transactions. The Apple Pay and Google pay tap kind. Do you have any experience with them?

    No Cash Credit Cards Only.

We're vending tokens currently (CC to token) but plan on stopping that pretty soon. Prior to the switchover we're about 70% CC users.

    No Cash Credit Cards Only.

4 Bay self serve & 3 IBA's. Last week we went 100% cashless. Mainly to combat tweakers trying to break in and cut down on time and expense of removing cash all the time. Curious if anyone else has gone this route and the results?

    Custom air fresheners

We've ordered custom one sa few times. The problem is the plastic bags are thinner and the air fresheners lose their scent very quickly.

Anyone taking advantage of the coin shortage to raise prices?

We can't get quarters from Guarda in Seattle.

    Exit Doors

We added the doors to prevent spray from hitting people vacuuming their cars and to lower the sound level for new apartments across the street. I think entrance doors are next. Airlift seems to make a great product.

    Exit Doors

We just added exit doors to our automatics. The door closes when the wash starts and opens at the end. Some customers are freaking out, scared it won't open when the wash finishes. Do any of you have signage on the door itself to tell customers what's going on? And if so what does it say...

If you have a chance could you post a picture?

    Wheel guides

Thanks the Entrance Yoke and Correlator might be better then the steel guides we have now. Our IBA's are after a 90 degree turn due to a narrow site. Have any of the more experienced guys on here ever seen something like this while entering a Ryko?
