Whats everyone doing to keep IBA friction brushes unthawed in the winter?

In floor heat and doors should keep you from freezing except during the VERY cold spells and them you just shutdown until it warms up.

    Soft Touch, or Soft Cloth?

I would use "Soft Touch" or "FoamBrite". Cloth is old fashion and "slaps" against the car.

    Soft Touch, or Soft Cloth?

Are you using cloth? Cloth holds dirt and will cause micro scratches at the very least.

    Reflex friction wash

I looked at video to see what kind of brushes this wash uses. I was trying to figure out if it was a machine I saw at a the show in Novi a few years ago; it had these strange "balloon" type brushes for lack of a better term. After market replacement would be determined by a few factors first of...

    Take up drum damage

We use Macneil conveyors and Ryko conveyors (a modified Macneil) Macneil still uses a drum and Ryko uses sprockets at both ends. I think the double sprocket creates less wear and tear on the chain. The problem with the drums is they are hollow and if you dont pay attention they "fail" (collapse).

    Ryko Ultrasonic 2001 problem

Not if the timer was disabled when the wash wash armed. All this is just a band aid anyway, somewhere there is a problem between the two pieces. Ryko does not normally make revisions that help machines to work with competitors equipment. Have you tried contacting your local Ryko tech and...

I would use Ryko's CAWIC with the IC Verify software, then you can choose ANY processor you want!

    Ryko Ultrasonic 2001 problem

The dryer photo eyes are what turn off the dryer early when a car leaves before the timer runs out.

    Ryko Ultrasonic 2001 problem

You could install a timer in the coinbox to give itself a reset signal every 10 min. Most all of our Ryko's have Ryko coinboxes and there is a lot of communication between the two, so its just a matter of dumbing down the ryko to work with your coinbox.

IBA Adjustments to decrease time per wash.

Presoak should have an optimum setting that should always be adhered to or at least a great starting point to fine tune by close observation. Just turning up the presoak will do nothing if the proper dilution rate is already being used. Do you use titration to set your presoak? Are people...
