I've done a lot of playing around with chemicals over the last couple of years. Here's a little of what I have learned:
1. For MY area (ie: dirt types in my area) LOW-HIGH has ALWAYS worked better no matter what the chemical salesman tells you. You need to experiment for your conditions...
We use a little ad-on PLC to get an additional LP pass. Wash one does Rain-x and wax, Wash 2 does just wax. I use the drying agent solenoid for the Rain-x.

My distributor has come up with a reliable blowdown system for our 4000s (I would imagine M5s also). We installed one on one of our 4 bays, and it works well down to about 15 degrees F. Based on our calculations, payback is within 2.5 months!
