Hi BMC, Yes, I knew that. In fact what you actually should be doing is to drive the machine to the home position and then make sure the helicopter is directly above the prox switch. (Which is what you're doing by moving it left or right). But thanks for your response.

Hmm...there was not a direct cable to the speed controller. My technician said in the past by doing this he had major trouble when even a small amount of moisture got into the motor. Yes, it was grounded but not with a direct cable.

What we did was to look at the amps on the frequency drive while running and they would not go up. So the issue is that the frequency controller does not apply the braking when it should. Yes, I changed the frequency drive and yes, I had also changed the PLC.
