Help with cavitation after replacing seals and valves.

Wash Out is what happens when the seals wear out and allow water to errode the metal in the head around the seals. Once this happens, new seals won't fix cavitation. The head will need to be repaired. The thread that I linked to above walks you through every step of this issue with pictures of...

Help with cavitation after replacing seals and valves.

Lots of good information about Wash Out in the thread "Link" below. It used to be a "Sticky" Thread, always visible at the top of the self serve threads....Don't know why its not there any more? (31) Washed out 310 manifolds - With pictures | Car Wash Forum

    Hot water heater?

Before CB80 has a chance to respond....Here is a post (post #64) that tells you what "Secret Sauce" is! CB80 came up with the term when I was threatened for copyright infringement by Polar Freeze Gaurd for putting a video on youtube showing my winterizing system, "Home Brew"! Another CB80 term...

    Changing coins to start

That will give the customer 180 seconds or 3 minutes start time with 30 seconds added for each additional quarter.

    Changing coins to start

First you need to determine how much time to start. Then decide on the price. For instance, if your start time is 4 minutes @ $2.00....4 minutes is 240 seconds divided by 8 quarters equals 30 seconds per quarter....Use that equation for what ever you want to set it at. Your scenario for $1.50...

What in the world is this thing?

Good question! Never seen one before....Take the lid off, it might give you a clue what it does! Just a WAG, if you recycle weep water, it might be a protective enclosure for the return pipe or a box to cover up a very big hole in the wall!

    Motor starter keeps tripping

So the overload did its job! We all missed the obvious, checking pump pressure first! Using a clamp meter on the 3 phase feeds would have clued you in too! I think I'd be taking those regulators apart to see what is going on inside them....They usually don't start spiking pressure unless...

    Motor starter keeps tripping

Get yourself a cheap clamp meter from Harbor Freight or Amazon, $20-$30....Use it to test the amps on each of the 3 hot leads feeding the contactor/overload when the motor is running. They should all be the same amps or very close. If one feed reads higher amps than the other two, the motor is...

    Changing coins to start

If you have Led 7's out in the bays, you don't need that At411 in the control room....The timed load output on the timer in conjunction with Soap, Rinse, Wax funtions on the switch is all you need to power up the HP pump motor contactor.....The setup you have doesn't make sense?

Mark vii JetWash- 10 Position Rotary Switch Out, Can I use Generic?

A good video to help with wiring a rotary, Tom's Way (RIP) from KR: Tom's Way Rotary Wiring 101 You might also do a search here on "rotary seal"....If you add a shaft seal like the one pictured, you probably won't ever have to change a rotary again. Water infiltration is the killer of these...

Mark vii JetWash- 10 Position Rotary Switch Out, Can I use Generic?

Mark VII color codes all the wiring to correspond between the terminial strips inside the meter boxes and panels inside the equipment room. You can go to Kleen Rite and in the help files you can download a wiring diagram like the 8 position one linked below....Its pretty self explanetory and not...

Mark vii JetWash- 10 Position Rotary Switch Out, Can I use Generic?

My original equipment was Mark VII and about 60 years old! After buying the wash 13 years ago, I had one of the Mark VII proprietary rotary switches left in one of the bays and it finally went bad shortly after buying the wash. All the others had been converted to 8 position Electroswitches so...

    Flo jet issue

Another big difference you can make is resetting the on/off cycle of your air compressor. I have my 80 gallon compressor set to come on at 80psi and off at 100psi. Originally it was on at 100psi and off at 120-125psi...The air will not heat up and condensate as much at the lower pressure...
