I'm doing some work on a chain of washes and would appreciate some feedback on which of these single-coin acceptors you prefer. No, there's no current or future plan to accept tokens or dollar coins. Slugbuster II is not a consideration.

I would go Sensortron over Slugbuster if given the choice of the two even thought the SB seems to last longer for us. A few times we had to adjust the SB I and if it sits unused for a day sometimes it will reject a quarter on the first drop. Then it is fine after that. (same thing happens with the SB IIIs) The Sensortrons just seems to run and run but when one goes "bad" it can give four pulses per quarter. It is another reason to make sure your horns work properly because if you only accept quarters then you can hear when it goes bad when a customer drops coins. Of course you test every day also but we lost a fair amount of money several times on busy days because of this design fault.
