The Obama administration is doing a "wonderful" job of running the biggest, most dangerous shell game in our country's history.

There are soooo many different spending programs and Big Government initiatives flooding outta O's Oval Office and Congress all at the same time. It's been VERY difficult to mount opposition to this multi-front sunami. And the "State Run Media" are doing virtually nothing to stem the tide ... ala ABC's nightlong infomercial for O's Health Care Plan ... with no opposing view being allowed to air. In-F'ing-credible, but not surprising.

Anyway, while O and his lapdog media have the country focused on all the benefits of his plan to socialize Health Care, another poisonous pea is under another quickly moving shell: "CAP & TRADE" (aka Cap & TAX)!!!

C&T is predicated on the myth that the earth is on fire and will be cooked and destroyed because you're driving an SUV. And this Friday (again, while they're trying to distract us with Health Care) --- Congress will be voting on this monstrous C&T legislation designed to grow Government bigger, exert more control over ALL business, further depress our economy, and jack up taxes for EVERYBODY ... big time!

We must stop this madness ... NOW!!!

For God's sake, for your sake and your childrens' --- call your rep in Congress and let them know that you're mad as hell about the junk science and political chicanery responsible for the horrendous prospect of C&T becoming law. Make your voice heard today and tomorrow by Congress and encourage others to do the same ... before it's too late and were all REALLY cooked.

I just let my rep know that with 30 years in Energy business, I am apalled at what the little staff kids on the O team are trying to do with not a clue as to the impact!!

His offices will have more visitors than they can handle I hope.

JJ - I am on the road and can't get my stupid phone to google me anything productive. I am in Michigan too, could you PM some private info to my e-mail? I would be more than happy to give them a call and tell them what I think of this cap and trade thing. Thanks!

Hiya, John:

I'm not sure what you mean by a request for "P(rivate) M(essaging) some info". Are you looking for specifics as to what the "C & T" legislation entails? The myths about man made Global Warming that are driving C & T? ... Or?

Actually, all it would take for Americans to set the phone lines to their elected reps burning and emailboxes flooded would be for the media to let 'em know that the average family would be taxed at least $1,500 per year as "penance" for their "sin" of emitting carbon ... that is, living in an industrialized country.

BTW --- just a few weeks ago, my Republican Congressman Vern Ehlers was actually on board the "something's GOTTA be done about man made Global Warming!" bandwagon and was leaning heavily toward a supporting vote of C&T. Maybe it's just coincidence, but about a month ago, I challenged him on his position at a townhall meeting, wrote letters to him and the editorial page, made phone calls and emails. And sunnuvvagun, a couple days ago Vern suddenly has publicly announced that he does NOT have a position on the need for C&T (via a vis Global Warming) ... and he's now looking for more input from his constituents before the vote.

So, again, make some noise about this. Your voice combined with a relatively few others CAN make a difference.

BTW2 --- check out John's (Bubbles Galore) website. It's a rather uniquely personal and engaging blog that delightfully does more than "just" sell his wash services.

Thanks for the kind words JJJ. I was talking more along the lines of some contact information for my local politicians. My zip code is 48423 if that helps. I am still trying to get myself some connection to the outside world. My phone is fritzing out, but at least I have my ACF!

John, you're in the 5th Congressional District with a 17 term Dem representative, Dale Kildee ... from Flint. Even tho' he's a Dem, Kildee may be inclined to vote against party lines cuz this C&T "energy tax" will not be a friend to industry ... especially "smokestack" industries. And Kildee's constituents in East Michigan are, of course, totally dependent on the auto industry which would probably take a nasty hit from C&T ... even tho' much is now "Government owned".

But please remember and believe: EVERY home, EVERY business, EVERYbody, EVERYwhere will be stung in perpetuity by C&T if it's allowed to pass.

Anyway, Kildee's email is not posted, but his offices can be phoned:

Flint: 810-239-1437
Wash., DC : 202-225-3611
And/or Toll Free: 800-662-2685

Bare in mind that the new Health reform cost, needed tax increases, rationed care and destruction of the private medical option will make cap & trade look like a kids lollipop.

The BS ability of BO makes Clinton look like an amateur.

If at first you don't succeed ...

C&T passed the Congress/House by what's being acknowledged as a "razor thin margin" --- if the 8 Republicans who voted "nay" rather than "yay", it would've been defeated. A rather surprising 44 Dems did vote against C&T knowing it would hurt their constituent citizens and businesses specifically and the whole country generally.

Anyway, given how relatively close the vote was Friday and how America's citizenry has "all of a sudden" awaken to the dangers and cost of C&T --- it's said that it will have very tough going in the Senate and that it could be shot down there ... IF enough folks get on the horn and email to let their Senators know how they feel about such jive legislation.

And what's REALLY important is for registered Dem voters to start sucking it up and admit something, rather, a LOT of things are being pushed in a VERY dangerous direction. It bodes terribly ill for this country when when so many Americans and the majority of college students are saying, "What's so bad about Socialism?!! It sounds pretty good and fair to me." So Dems who still value our nation's precious and extraordinary values MUST start sharing their concerns with their Dem representatives.

It's not Democrat or Republican, Right or Left anymore --- it really is all about Right or Wrong.
