The other day the under carriage on my G5 stopped working. I ordered two new photo electric eyes thinking they were the issue, but the problem still exists. Any suggestions or recomendations?

Can you turn it on manually? Put the machine in maintenance mode and with the keyboard type in UBF. If it comes out the arch, the valve is not switching. Not sure if you have the electric valves or air opearated valves. Feel free to contact PDQ Tech Services if the problem persists.

I'm able to put the machine into maintenance mode and the UBF code fires up the undercarriage perfectly.

The UB eyes connect up to the input card in the bay box. To test the eyes, you can do an IM431 from the keyboard. You will either get an up or down arrow. When you go in front of the eyes and block them, the arrow will flip. If it doesn't flip, you will need to troubleshoot the eyes. Also, from the software, you can change what activates the underbody. I know you can use the top US sensor, and I believe you can also use the door eyes. You could always change that to see if the problem goes away.

Blake...see the PDQ posting for help.

I cringed when I read your post...replacing parts before you have properly identified the problem is never a smart thing to do. First, it will cost you more and second you may wind up confounding the problem.
