I have the OHD 2001 Touch-Free and when a car drives in and the undercarriage/tire cleaner kicks on, water is also coming out of the high pressure nozzles on the arm. I am guessing a solenoid is wore out or has dirt in it, but wasn't sure where to look exactly. Any suggestions are appreciated.
The big brass Lexair air valve is probably the problem. It opens to let water go to the arm and is actuated by a small air line. Sounds like it is not closing completely. First take off the air line going to it to make sure the air valve is not leaking air to the solenoid and keeping it slightly open. If you have no air leaking then you can open up the air valve itself and clean it out. In a pinch you can sometimes just squirt a little WD40 into the air inlet and cycle it a few times to get it working.
It is on the pump stand probably in your equipment room. It usually sits next to the big pump with several other solenoids but the big brass one is the one to check. You large high pressure hose that goes out to the bay should come off this valve. You will see a small 1/4 inch air line that goes into the top of the solenoid.
Yeah I've got the same issue, the lexair is leaking, just waiting for time to repair it. Rebuild kits I think directly from lexair. Definitely check the air solinoid first as soapy mentioned.
Mine has been repaired a few times so I think I may need the whole body replaced now.. Luckily I have one sitting here.
No, that is for the undercarriage 1" valve. You need the 1 ½ 2 way piloted.
Today looks like the day so I'll be playing with it soon.
On lexairs site you can see it and click where to buy on home page and they link you with distributors in your area. (I don't find astro to be a deal most times.) http://www.lexairinc.com/valves/p-dpo2nc-sp.html
