I recently purchased my first automatic car wash and I’m in the process of learning how everything works. We’ve reached the point where we need to reprogram the wash cycle and today I discovered the system uses an older cassette-style programmer. It appears to be a tone-based controller that operates using sound waves recorded on tape, with each track triggering different components (sprayers, pumps, dryers, etc.). From what I understand, the machine reads these audio signals as ON/OFF commands based on a timeline. The good news is: I do have the original tools needed to program it, but I’m not sure if I have the full manual or programming instructions. I’d really appreciate any guidance on how to reprogram or modify the wash cycle using this setup. If anyone has experience with these systems or knows where I might find best practices, or even retrofit advice I’d be very grateful.
Thanks in advance!
