Hi, has anyone replaced the side or top brush on a PDQ ProTouch Tandem and if so how many cars/washes did you get out of them before replacement?

I don't have a tandem, but if its the same foam material that's on most of the other autos brush life shouldn't be a concern. My friction unit (Coleman Fusion X) has around 100K cars they look fine. Just make sure they are adequately lubed during use.

The brush comes apart in 3" ring sections, making it cheaper to replaced just what you need instead of a complete brush. If any area needs to be replaced sooner than another, it will typically be the lower sections, around the hitch height. As others have said, you generally don't have an issue getting 100-150K or more cars through before replacing sections.

Thanks for the replies, there are only a couple of these machines in this part of the world so not much actual experience to go on.
