FWIW.....I replaced the hopper switch in my RNS with the new style switch (100-0151). This design is MUCH improved....however...there's something you need to know.

After replacing the switch, which has NO adjustment....the unit would over pay a LOT. Put in a $1, get $1.50. Put in a $10, get $14.

Not Good!

After hours of troubleshooting, it turns out that (sometimes) you need to bend the coin sensing tang "a little bit". Hamilton tech support confirmed this with me.

I took a pair of needle nose pliers, and bent the tang down to make it a little more sensitive.

Problem solved.

There....I saved you hours of frustration. (Ask me how I know? I learned this at midnight Saturday night!).

We have the new style switch and it pays out correctly but it adds a pulse for every bill changed on the hopper quarter counter. Has anyone had this issue?
