Automatic Parking Lot Gates

My business friendly city instpectors are forcing me to be closed certain hours. I am interested in installing entry/exit gates. I have seen some that telescope up from the ground on timers. Kind of up up and out at an angle so there is no swing or retraction like a iron or chain link fence. I searched the web for any link but am coming up empty. any ideas?

The car wash is a non conforming use of the properties zoning. 20 some years ago when it was built the operating hours were a "suggestion" of the use permit. It has been open 24 hours since then and now the city decides to make problems. And sound issues, and light glare issues. Total BS.

Years ago one of the cities that we have a car wash in required us to shut down the car wash at night from 10 pm to 7 am. They wanted it fenced and gated, power turned off to the pumps and lights. We negotiated with them to only have the lights and power to the bays turned off, with the exception of the lights above the back door and above the changer. Now all the other cities in the area require when a car wash is built or remodeled they will be gated and fenced and all lights will be turned off, with the exception of a couple of low wattage security lights. This requirement has actually been a big help in the fact that there is no night time vandalism or break-ins. At 10 Pm Security comes and runs everyone out of the car wash and locks the gate, at 7 Am they come back and unlock the gate and opens the car wash. The security service also drives by a couple times a night and checks on things. This service costs about $100 a month.

check out self storage gates and operators. We use Hysecurity gates at our self storage, but these are too expensive for what you want, at our washes we use lift master barrier gates at the exit. It could be on a timer and open in the morning, close at night. only lift for a free exit after closing if someone is still on the site. If you want manual gates try Hoover Fence, or google barrier gates.
There is a great vertical lift gate that is quite imposing (it was designed for pasture animal control), and works like a wooden arm lift gate, comes with the gate as a package deal, and like most barrier arm gates it has a battery backup to open if a power failure.
