    Need some advice on hoses

Rfreeman, thanks for the wisdom and the photos (can you post a photo of what it looks like inside the trough)! I really do appreciate feedback from you and everyone else. I will post photos of before and after at our location, once we change everything out. This forum is a fabulous resource...

    Need some advice on hoses

Gents, yes the lines are simply exposed. That is the way we bought it, but as time goes along we continue to upgrade items and this is next on the list. Cantbreak - thanks for the photos! Washnshine, thanks as well. This is the type of insight I was hoping to get,

    Need some advice on hoses

Thanks advance for reading and any potential advice. The issue: we currently use 1/4" 130 PSI Poly Tubing that we get from KR (https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-38148-kleen-rite-kl02700001-black-polytubing-1-4in-x-100-ft.aspx#description) that we run from our mechanical room to all 5 of our SS...

    Increase to $3 to start

The beauty of the internet - this thread has taken on a life of its own. As it relates to $3 startup, I asked one of our employees to check the competition in the town we are in. The competition is as follows: $1.50 for 4 minutes, $1.75 for four minutes, and $2.00 for five minutes. We are $2...

Why is hiring a Maintenance / Mechanic so hard?

To Waxman, Analytic and whomever else, congratulations on running SS that are such low maintenance. I wish ours was that way, but it is not. Last week, we had to replace one of the buttons on the Ginsan boxes, replace a connection on the boom that was leaking, repair hose on top of the roof...

Why is hiring a Maintenance / Mechanic so hard?

WashnShine, thanks for the comment. We definitely advertised the salary, figure, plus that is 40 hours a week, plus benefits. That being said, I just checked and our salary is lower than what the much larger companies offer.

Why is hiring a Maintenance / Mechanic so hard?

Is it just me or is anyone else having a hard time hiring a car wash maintenance person? We have a 5 bay SS in a Central Texas town that is about 2.5 hours from the Dallas / Fort Worth area. Our previous guy, who was somewhat of a mechanical savant, stopped coming to work due to personal...

We finally talked to them and they said the payments systems are still functional, just the website is down. Might be up at the end of the day.

    Polarized Water

    Polarized Water

Dan, I want to make sure I am reading your comment correctly. Are you saying that your friend finds that the magnets do not help?

    Polarized Water

Has anyone read the article at: https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/read/67410951/fall2022-sscwn-web about Magnets and Polarized water. I also attached the article. Does anyone have any experience with the use of magnets to "polarize" water at a car wash? Is there something to what the author is...

    Credit/Debit Card Importance?

CWB where are you located? We are in a smallish rural town of Texas. We have credit card and cash acceptors in all bays (not on vacs though). We have been doing so for about 1.5 years now. Our credit card usage on the bays is about 25%. I'd love to see 50% or greater, but when given a...

    Everwash

Yeah, not cool. I already spoke to one of your (everwash) reps, but am looking for real life experiences with the system in the SS world.

Water Heaters Rheem Commercial versus Lochinvar

We have a Lochinvar water heater fired by natural gas (model cln199100) that is starting to leak at the bottom. Time to replace as we want to continue to have a water heater. I am shocked that we are being quoted $6.6K for a similar Lochinvar model. I am actually shocked at the cost period...

    Everwash

I just read about the cryptopay / everwash integration. Is anyone using Everwash for their SS? I asked them to send me a few SS references. I am not sure if subscription services works for SS or not. I'd appreciate any insight. Thanks.
