    Relay help!

Installing new GinSan meters with D&S Self Wash pump stand. We ran into an issue with the PLC's being 24V DC and the meter push button modules using 24V AC. Not a huge deal. The fix is to use a relay bank on each bay to essentially activate each press of the push buttons on the meter. I...

Bill acceptor to bill recycler in WSII or Portal

Has anyone attempted to replace the CPI bill acceptors in their Unitec WSII or Portal and install the new Talos bill recycler? My new Portals have the bill dispenser on them and I have eliminated quarters completely at that site, but am looking for a way to eliminate quarters as change on my...

    Hamilton Handheld

Has anyone found a solution or software program that can be downloaded to a laptop to take the place of the Hamilton handheld? I would much rather be able to plug in my laptop and make changes than to buy and use the handheld that looks and acts like 1970 computer technology. Thanks, Lighthouse

    Weepmizer Output 2 programming.

Installing an Etowah Valley foam brush change over kit on my self serve bays. Cool system. Got it all wired up and plumbed, but am a little confused on programming the secondary output on the weepmizer. It has a factory setting of a lower limit of -22 and a high limit of 113. I would like...

    Unitec/DRB Portal power supplies

Anyone having issues with bad power supplies in the Portal's? I have 2 that I purchased and installed this spring. I replaced the power supply in one 2 months ago, and have a bad one in the other over the weekend. DRB was talking about installing "line conditioners" on the incoming power to...

    Boom vac hose size?

I recently installed new pay per use JE Adams vacs mounted on poles with the swivel booms. JE Adams told me that the hoses had to be 1-1/2. Not sure if that is because of weight or the connection to the boom, but I am having constant issues with the hoses plugging up. My normal vacs at other...

    Truck bay operator question.

What length of wand and tip size do you use on your truck bays? I'm thinking of a 36" wand with a grip and 1506 tip. I'm pushing this with a 7.5HP motor and a 5CP6120 Cat pump. Do I need to have a larger orifice than .60? I would like to run this between 1500-1800 PSI. Thanks, Lighthouse

    Nayax user instructions

Hello everyone. I'm getting ready to install my nayax readers on SS bays and vacs. Can anyone share what they are using for signage for card user instructions? I will be making and mounting a sign next to the meters that details min and max charges, stop button instructions and anything else...

    Boom vac layout

I received my new JE Adams boom vac setup and wanted to see if anyone could share some experience with how to layout the spacing. How far apart do you locate the vacs, how far away from the curb, did you install bollards in front of each vac, how did you route the wiring into the vacs from the...

Portal Ti and Windcave for tap to pay

Installing 2 new Portals soon with tap to pay option. I have an existing portal that is about 2 years old with tap to pay that did not require Windcave as the processor. It just runs through Priority. I'm being told that the new units will require a Windcave processor account. Does anyone...

    Washdown with Nayax readers

How do you activate the wash with a Nayax reader to wash down the bays and not use an actual credit card. I have wash down cards for my Unitec system, and my old timers had a remote control. Do they make a remote control for the LED7 timers that can be used? Lighthouse

Adding Nayax to Vacs, count which way?

Adding Nayax VPOS to new vacuums. What is everyone doing? Do I put a stop button and do count up, or do I program the Nayax at set pricing and they can select if they want $1, $2, $5 etc? I will also have bill acceptors but am eliminating the coin mechs and want to be able to do a free vacuum...

    Customer service

Is anyone else pulling their hair out with customer service? Leave voicemails, send emails, call and call. Can't get anyone to call me back, return emails. I'm literally throwing money at people to buy equipment and nobody seems to care anymore. Frustrating! Lighthouse

    Coinless site require bill breaker?

I'm getting rid of coins in my new location when I renovate. My question is, do you think it's a necessity to have a bill to bill breaker on site? I will accept CC and cash in the self serve bays, autos, vacs, and vending machine. Part of me thinks that people will get used to it quickly and...

    New pump stands

Purchasing my 3rd location and doing a major renovation. I'm replacing every major component of the wash. The self serve pump stand is going and I am trying to decide which route to go. I know, I can rebuild the thing and it will live forever, but that's not happening. Been there and done...

    IBA Paystations

I'm adding a 3rd location and am on the fence about the technology in pay stations. My other 2 locations have Unitec wash pay in the self serve bays and WSII's at one location and a Portal TI at the other. I don't utilize the fleets much as I only have a few customers signed up. At the new...

    Washworld Razor mounting option.

Looking at a wash that has a 4" tall concrete sill plate and then the walls are stick framed up to the trusses. The current IBA is on a stand that is about to rust to pieces. Has anyone ever ripped into a wall and installed block columns in the spots where the razor or other IBA would mount to...

    American changer credit card security

Got a call from American Changer today about a security update on my Paystation. Apparently I have to yank my IP tran and not process cards for a few days, and send to them for some update. If not done, it will no longer process after November. They also mentioned something about a software...

    Single bay stand alone automatics

I've been toying with the idea of expanding my locations and I'm intrigued by the thought of just having a single bay automatic on a busy corner with no self serve bays. I would like to have a cookie cutter design that I could implement at various locations. My guess is that it would be...
