    Laserwash 360 Install

We need to relocate one of our Laserwash 360's from one of our locations to a different one and our distributor we work with said it would be 9 months before they could get to it. Does anyone know of an installer in range of Kentucky that has experience with PDQ's that might help with this...

    Best ceiling booms?

All of our Mosmatic booms are ceiling mount. Occasionally we have a tangle but not enough to be a problem. We have some locations with 3 Z booms (FB and dryer) and some with 2. One location with straight Mosmatic booms and wall mount for everything else. Longest lasting swivels we have ever...

    Best ceiling booms?

We started using Mosmatic booms about 18 years ago. Having previously used various models we really like Mosmatic. They have a breakaway fitting that serves the same purpose for us as the spring loaded type. We have the Z booms at several sites and from the customers perspective it is pretty...

Maintenance on a Mark VII touchless

Brian Landon at Landons Car Wash is an excellent resource for parts and advice for Mark7 automatics. We have worked with him for 15 plus years to keep our Mark 7 automatics going. Doug P

    Petit automatic

Is that 5 minute wash time from the time the car is in position in the bay until the spot free finishes or is that from wash activation at the pay station until the dryer is finished? Thanks Doug P.

Anyone notice an increase in business for 2021?

Our business in KY is up YTD for 2021 compared to last year and all other years. We have done a lot of upgrades at our 7 sites and I wasn't sure how much of it was attributed to that and how much of the increase was from the current situation. I hope it is not temporary but my guess is it is...

    Hamilton Mobile App

Expat, Thanks for your participation on the forum. It's great the way you seemed to take it personally when Hamilton was criticized and you jumped in there to defend your/their reputation. Having said that, keep in mind that running a self serve and inbay automatic can be extremely...

    Hamilton Mobile App

We have been Hamilton autocashier customers off and on for over 30 years. We currently have Goldlines, push button HTK's and touch screen HTK's. We purchased 2 used push button HTK's four years ago and Hamilton was extremely helpful to us as we refurbished them and put them into service. We...

    Premier Blowers

Premier does have 2 versions of their oscillating blowers, mechanical and also an air driven one where the motors do not move but the flow is diverted back and forth. We just got a quote on one. I am leaning toward the mechanically driven one but would be interested to hear from someone who...

    Business sucks, so doubling down

Your tax guy is correct. Since you will receive no revenue from the free washes there is no offsetting deduction except for the actual expenses incurred by providing the free washes which do not require any special entry to deduct as you are counting them with your normal expenses. Doug P

    50 Years...It's a wrap!

I am going to ship my extra remote to you and when you wake up next month with a nervous twitch and you realize you really miss emptying trash cans and cleaning up mud I’m going to give you permission to drive 45 minutes South and use my bays and trash cans to help with the transition to...

    Kevin Reilly...RIP

I remember and appreciated Kevin’s contributions to the forum. Met him briefly at a convention but knew him mainly from this forum. The kind of guy the country could use more of and surely will be missed. Deepest condolences to his family. Doug P

PDQ at both locations or switch?

They have held up pretty good but: Having owned 6 different brands of automatics over 28 years pdq is the only brand that I have had to call a distributor to repair, it’s happened maybe 4 times total but that’s 4 too many. I am with you on standardizing when possible but if I didn’t have a...

PDQ at both locations or switch?

As the owner of a 2013, 14, and 18 360 I would definitely go with the razor if I had a problem with my PDQ distributor. Doug P

Unlimited monthly wash plans or memberships

Soapy, I copied your bonus token plan, then I borrowed your drying towel idea, and now you have monthly membership plans? We have been considering the idea and would love to hear your experience so far. My greatest concern is the limited capacity of our inbay machines. I had an automatic 25 yrs...

    Any thoughts on "Corn" bulbs?

I have installed 7 of these at different locations over the last 18 months. Great results so far. Light is equal to or greater than the 1000 watt MH that they replaced when the MH are new. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M4QZDN3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This link is a...
