    Best aluminum sealer?

I would recommend looking into either anodizing or something like this https://www.totalboat.com/product/aluminum-boat-barrier-coat-primer/?attribute_pa_colorkitsize=graygallonkit&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIv9TVzo-Y8wIVLQaICR2n9wigEAQYASABEgKKj_D_BwE

    Clearance bar issue

Thanks for the compliment! I believe there was once a more rigid stop on the building and all it did was damage the block it was attached to. And as I said you really can't feel the impact of the hanging bar when approaching slowly and I would rather have someone feel the impact with no...

    Clearance bar issue

Hello Fellow Washers! I recently had new clearance bars installed. I have found that vehicles that approach the pay station slowly do not feel it when they contact the bar! Anyone else have this issue? If so what can be done to improve the feel of impact, add weight to the inside of the bar...

looking into either buying new or building a low pressure system.

Less than half the cost for building a system as apposed to buying a plug and play built system. I would buy the pump station and bay/meter box already built, but build the low pressure systems and wax/soap dilution systems my self.

looking into either buying new or building a low pressure system.

After installing a self serve system at our wash and seeing how ridiculously simple the systems are I would definitely build the next setup from scratch. But without the exposure/knowledge, buying a system is so much more practical.

    Strange issue with Washworld Razor

I would recommend getting a gearbox, motor and power cord on the way. Yes it's expensive but even if you end up not needing it now, you will eventually if you plan on keeping the wash a long time. And the price of such parts will not get cheaper with time. You will also most certainly...

    Strange issue with Washworld Razor

Seems logical. One could always keep the used one for a spare if the new one does not fix the issue.

    Adding Crytopay to Vacuums

We would like to add Cryptopay to our vacuums. We would like to keep our current cash price at $1 for four minutes. We would also like to charge slightly more for the convenience and so we don't have to absorb the added CC charges. Of course we would add appropriate signage that would likely...

If You Weren't in the Car Wash Business...

I guess I would still be an manufacturing manager for an aerospace company. Man I don't miss the stress, although I do miss access to the machines for personal projects!

With quality equipment and decent maintenance you should be able to hit 10 years even at a high volume site. The site I'm at has 16yr+ PDQ G5 machines with 281,000 plus car count per machine and counting!

    Touchless IBA Hp dryer options?

Our January electric bill was over $2000. I did revisit the cost calculator I used, and I did indeed make a mistake. I used this calculator, https://www.prismengineering.com/resources/calculators Electric rates are pretty high in Vermont, according to eia.gov average commercial rate is .165...

    Touchless IBA Hp dryer options?

Does anyone have first hand experience with the performance difference (car drying ability) of say four bridge mounted 10hp units vs four 7.5Hp units on a touchless wash? Is it drastically different? Has anyone chosen a lower Hp option and regretted it?? The reason I ask is, using an online...
