Mep that's the way it is in California!
You didn't say whether you wanted a bucket scoop or a pumper. We have a pumper and after it's full we let it sit for a week so the mud will settle in the tank. We then de-water it at one of our car washes close by and then dump it in a concrete area we...
All of the above, but I would also saturate it with WD-40. Sometimes a small particle (dirt) can get in behind the little bar that does the locking. We are told not to use WD-40 on locks, but we hit all of our locks with WD-40 occasionally which does smooth things out when inserting a key!
Yes, the bracket has the screw holes, but they are metal, not aluminum and if I can just do 1 screw that would be fine, but haven't worked with it yet.
Soapy, the fixture doesn't have enough room for a reducer as the 85's just barely fit in the fixture with the single and we had to do some...
Just to keep you up to speed on our lighting. My wife mentioned that our electrical bill dropped quite a bit so I had her give me some figures.
Gross was up 7% month of Feb over January and electricity was up 6% over January.
Gross was up 15% month of March over February and electricity was...
Rocky Mountain You can go direct with hot water, however you would need a water pressure regulator for each pump, otherwise you wouldn't be able to siphon soap/wax. You would also need a solenoid valve for each pump. In my opinion keep doing what you're doing and learn your system especially if...
We sell $1.00 tokens out of our changer 1 1/8 size 85/15 metal. We accept quarters, dollars & tokens. with 5 locations on the last empty out we received 25 Sacaguea (sp) dollar coins and the bays ran about 75% tokens to quarters. Didn't do the vacs.
For 5 locations we have 16 changers (all...
Rocky Mountain, you say the "motor is slowing down" like it's slowing down in revolutions?? or is the "pump" starving for water when you have 3 bays on?? Usually when a motor "slows down" a breaker is going to kick off. It sounds like a pump is starving for water when all 3 are on so it's...
If your pit is 4' by 7' by 4' wide I would think the quickest way (besides pumping or ring-o-mat clam shell), then getting into the pit if you can find somebody that wants to work would be the quickest way. You would need to pump out the water first (of course you know that!)
Every time I have cleaned out some used parts/motors etc I usually find within a month that I or somebody else needed it....so I bought a bigger warehouse and I don't do that anymore! It's amazing what you accumulate over the years. Drives my wife nuts, but my employees can always find the...
Out here in the Central Valley of California (snow every 20 years), but we have seen 17 degrees which is cold for us! Anyway we use Grainger's water heater at all location 199,000 btu. Have had them for years with no problems. We only use them for the wash cycle and that's it. Everything...
David, I've only had that happen once in all the years we've had Hamilton changers. One of the "hooks" broke off and we replaced the motor so they are pretty bullet proof.
Ours kept dumping tokens until the motor wound down because the hook wasn't there to stop it!
MEP That is will lit and hard to tell the difference. I just got the 105 CFL's in and will be limited to some fixtures we have on the lot that they will fit into.
As for the other locations if I'm going to use the 85 CFL's I'm also going to have to change to an e-23 (smaller receiver) because...
I agree with everything that has been said, but who needs the aggravation of a person who is in power and would have an easier listening audience to claim how he was ripped off!
He will probably lose this battle but the damage has been done!
RPH discussed in another thread regarding signage to protect the owner and this guy probably (surely) didn't read the sign and just put the gun back into the holster and expected it to shut off. But this guy isn't a Judge he's a politician and is going after the car washes because of it.
It...
MEP your pic 1 has 4 250 MH in the bay and pic 2 is 4 45 CFL's? Is that right? If so that's really neat, but my problem is 4 of our locations are a red block which of course doesn't reflect light, it just absorbs it! I'll get a pic up when I get out @ night again.
