    Weep adjustment driving us crazy

Just wondering, on your Super Wash is there a check valve right next to/ in line with those needle valves? If so then they could be causing you grief being worn out and sticking at times. Happened to our setup.

Purchased two used Unitec WSII units. Question

Hello all, Just purchased two used WSII units for future use at my washes. I've never worked on WSII as I've always been a Hamilton guy. Got one of them on my work bench and the Coinco bill validator powers up (little green arrows are on in the pathway) but the red led doesn't power on and it...

    Unitec/Wash Select II distributor

Challenge with Unitec is the scheduling of the tech support phone calls- couple days out. Wish I could call a distributor, get questions answered, order parts and get it done when those problem arise. Probably have to do the tech support route...

    Unitec/Wash Select II distributor

Looking for a good distributor that knows about Wash Select II and so that when I call about questions and parts they'll be able to help. I've tried a few and all they know how to do is order parts if I've got a part number. Thanks,

New buttons for Wash Select II

I can't find the link that's been discussed here for an outside source (not Unitec) for purchasing new buttons for the WSII. Looking for white buttons but also either blue or red as well. Thanks

    Matt Hangers/clamps

These hangers from KR and Windtrax used to have a metal rod that would pass through the "teeth" and secure it to the clamp. Now there's no metal rod just the plastic and stick through the hole. They're junk.

    Matt Hangers/clamps

These mat hangers in the self serve bays have lost their quality over the years. KR, Windtrax sells them but they sure don't last. These most recent ones I've purchased the plastic "teeth" pop off within days as customers pull down on their mats. Anyone know of another source that sells a...

Some things I learned the first year operating a car wash

Agreed. Tools: Buy the best tools your pocket can afford. Buy all the tools you need today and all the tools you may need someday to to that repair/replace that you think may happen on that cold Saturday night when everyone is closed.

    How to move a bed?

I've shipped several items with Fastenal and have never put them in a crate. Strapped to a pallet, yes.

    How to move a bed?

Fastenal, the supply stores/chain, have shipping. They have their own trucks and started doing freight too because their trucks were empty going home. All you have to do it put it on a pallet. Go online to make arrangements and then take the pallet to any store and they'll ship it to any...

Drilling in concrete floor and floor heat tubes and infrared cameras

Hello, I've read on here where you can use an infrared camera of some sort to find the heating tubes/coils in a heated floor at a wash to make sure you miss when drilling holes in the concrete. Has anyone actually used this method and been successful? And if so what type of camera was used...

    Salt - salt - salt

I get mine delivered via a pump truck straight into the barrel. $4.40 per 40 lbs. Otherwise $3.96 at local farm store and $5.48 at Home Depot (both 40 lbs bags).

    Hamilton ACW lexan faceplate

Anyone know of or have used or had made up a customized lexan faceplate for the Hamilton ACW's? Kind of tired of advertising Hamilton at my acw's at my washes.

Installing Microcoin QL in an Hamilton ACW 4?

Update: The Microcoin QL works fine in the acw4 until the power goes off and on to the acw. Then I get a "token coin stuck" error message. Reset and it works fine again. It's just during a power cycle. Calling HPWS as others have said they don't know anything about changing the on/off pulse...

Unlimited monthly wash plans or memberships

The problem with many IBA washes is the time spent inside the wash bay by each vehicle and how that affects the number they can wash per day. We have averaged over the years about 18,000 cars per year per bay. Our washes take between 3:10 minutes for the least expensive to 4:30 for the most...
