    Wayne Dalton Doors

No spring, its a weighted fabric door. the motor rolls it up and the weight of the door lets itself back down with an electric brake to control holding it open and letting it back down. the brake is on the top of the gear reducer at the other end of the motor shaft.

    Hose Crimper

I want to be able to make and repair the 1" high pressure hoses for the IBAs. The local parts stores can make them but they're very expensive and not always open. I have a bucket of fittings and a roll of hose, I'm not sure how much is left on the roll but id guess at least 50'. It seems every...

Yes, that isa concern. The gear reducer spins freely and the door isn't stuck. Could the system have faulted and held the brake?

    Hose Crimper

Do any of you own your own hose crimping tool? If so, what do you have an are you happy with it? I want to be able to do the full range of sizes needed and being portable is preferred. I have a Weather head press that the previous owner left but no Dies for it and the dies are very expensive on...

    Wayne Dalton Doors

It looks like there may be a "stub shaft" between the motor and the gear reducer. The parts are at a motor shop now and i just shared this link with them. Im not sure how difficult it is to get this part. https://gfa-elektromaten.com/en-DE/product-detail/stub-shafts.html

Thank you Buckeye Hydro, I did see this but mine is a 460v. I talked to an electrician about converting but the controller is 460v so he’s not confident that it’s possible.

Well I got a quote of $4000 for a new operator. Anyone have any suggestions? It almost looks like there is a sacrificial shaft between the motor and the gear reducer but without an exploded view or a machine shop I’m really not sure.

    Wayne Dalton Doors

Does anyone have experience with these doors? It appears that the shaft where the motor connects to the gear box has sheered off. I am not sure if the motor could be salvaged by getting that piece of the shaft out. I am also not sure what could have caused this other than a faulty shaft. When I...

    PDQ G5 Triple Foam Manifold

It seems like a silly design because its a lot of weight hanging from where it threads in and where it threads in is a thin wall. Mine cracked. Does anyone have a used one that they would like to sell, or has anyone replaced this part with something else that works better or is more cost effective?

Which Self Serve Equipment is the Best ?

Parts are very hard to find. But WET still has some laying around. The ports on the valves get debris in them and then it floods the utility room. Or the solenoids go bad all the time and nothing will come out in the bay. It. Breaks. Constantly. I’d be happy with this guys old setup if he’s...

    High Water Rates

I'm thinking its more likely an inefficiency in something else. This bill was eye opening. We will be looking for the problem and hopefully find it asap

    High Water Rates

we have two touch free and three SS, and i don't feel I'm washing a respectable amount of cars is my concern. I'm worried there is an issue with my RO. if the membranes are bad would a higher percentage go to waste? It looks like we washed 1050 cars that month which is only 35 per day.

    High Water Rates

We have a few locations so I do have some comparison and i think i already know the answer to this. But do these water and sewer rates seem insane? Is anyone else paying this much?

    Boiler losing anti freeze

Haha, no hard feelings. I was guessing sarcasm. We are working on isolating it, the valves are a bit crunchy so we are contemplating turning them. Its unfortunately definitely in concrete somewhere. I just need to make a friend with a thermal camera. If i had that, i wouldn't be opposed to...

    Boiler losing anti freeze

No part of me expected passive income. And it hasn't disappointed. 7 locations sort of exacerbates the issues. But we are determined to work through it. I'm not posting on here to complain, just to avoid the same mistakes that others have already learned from.
